All of my favorite coffee shops in Chicago to go read, get some work done, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy some good coffee. Chicago coffee game is killing it.

Confleis latte is delicious. Usually bright and sunny with the big windows they have. Easy place to get some reading done
Bueno Days
The most beautiful coffee shop. A large amount of spacious tables to read or get some work done. Far away enough from the city that it never gets too packed. Street parking is easy to find every time
Milli by Metric
Beautiful soft and warm cafe during the day, lively neighborhood ambience bar at night
Buttercup
Sitting on one of those stools in front of a big window lets you feel like the main character and occasionally looking up from your book to people watch. Coffee is solid as well.
Dot’s Roscoe Village
Located in a really popular area so parking might be difficult. Good amount of space to get some work done. Coffee and matcha is hit or miss. They’re famous for their frozen matcha I think.
Paper Tiger Cafe
An absolutely gorgeous cafe/bookstore. Can get a little loud. Bring noise cancelling headphones and you’re in a readers paradise.
The Understudy Coffee and Books
A Filipino inspired coffee shop. Really interesting drinks. Great for getting work done or reading. Street parking is fairly easy.
Side Practice Coffee
One of the best iced oat vanilla lattes in the city. A decent sized window facing the sidewalk is where I like to do my reading. Sometimes hard to snag a seat here though.
Coffee Lab & Roasters
Really good drinks. The AC was freezing during the summer bring a layer. Really popular area so expect to pay for street parking.
LUCKYCAT
A nice secluded coffee shop near north side. Very spacious plenty of tables to get work done or do some reading. Coffee is consistent. One of the better chains in Chicago.
Printer's Row Coffee Co.
I really liked their Black Sea salt mocha. Sleek minimalist cafe. They have a very cute backyard area during the summers.
Candor
A little off the beaten path but one of the coolest coffee shops in Chicago. Very community focused. Coffee was excellent.
Monday Coffee Co.
One of the newest cafe and event spaces in the city. A hub for creatives and community to gather. Serving great coffee in a homey but trendy environment
