Acne prone, Dry Skin Skincare Routine
This is a detailed list of my skincare routine as someone with clog prone, acne prone, sensitive and combination skin!!
I’ve struggled with acne since I was 11. I tried everything in the books to get ride of it. I finally decided to go on Accutane in high school which cleared my skin drastically!! A few years later, my acne started to come back. I decided to go on Accutane again as that was the one thing I had found that worked to clear my skin. After my second round, my skin was amazingly clear but I knew I had to have a routine that would help maintain it instead of just defaulting to Accutane every time I saw acne reappear.
Accutane has left my skin more sensitive and drier than it was previously. I found that after my treatments, I needed a new skincare routine that helped repair, hydrate, gentle cleanse and repair my skin. Upon doing research in post-Accutane skincare, I found that there are products you can implement in your routine that work in the same way that Accutane does. I found that a simple cleansing and moisturizing routine, mixed with the use of these effective, topical Accutane like products, works absolute wonders for me and my stubborn skin!!
