Vern’s
Wonderful little brewery in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Great atmosphere and even better beer. They always have live music and events, including a Christmas market. Definitely worth the quick road trip from Roc.
Birdhouse Brewing Company
Cute little wine bar in the heart of the Park Ave area. Stop in for a drink before or after (or both) dinner at the Hideaway, which is right down the street 🍷
Apogee Wine Bar
One of the best breweries in Roc. Great atmosphere and great food. It’s recently been named one of the best breweries in the US by Beer Pros, come find out why!
Strangebird
If you’re visiting the Rochester area, everyone worth their salt will recommend Dogtown. They offer hot dogs (I know, but they’re Zweigles, just trust), garbage plates, and vegan and vegetarian options. Bring some antacid and enjoy!

One of the coolest places in the area. Check out the exhibits, the grounds, and the Brown Hound for a bite to eat after. Admission is half price on Thursdays and second Fridays-but it’s well worth the full price of $20.
