Roc favorites for a reason. If you’re a local, you’ve probably heard of these places. If not, they’re places I’d recommend to any out of town visitors who want to experience some of the best Rochester has to offer.

If you’re visiting the Rochester area, everyone worth their salt will recommend Dogtown. They offer hot dogs (I know, but they’re Zweigles, just trust), garbage plates, and vegan and vegetarian options. Bring some antacid and enjoy!

One of the coolest places in the area. Check out the exhibits, the grounds, and the Brown Hound for a bite to eat after. Admission is half price on Thursdays and second Fridays-but it’s well worth the full price of $20.

Leaf and Bean has been a Westside staple for years, and for good reason. They have a great selection of coffees, teas, pastries, and sandwiches. Take home a bag of ground or whole bean coffee to enjoy at home!

My go-to when I’m craving a lobster roll or key lime pie. Castaway’s has a refined food selection and a slew of tropical drinks. Enjoy the sunset over Lake Ontario on their large patio 🌅
