Perhaps horror is just not for me? I was bored and uninterested throughout most of the read, and nothing scared me, or was even thrilling.
Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke And Other Misfortunes
technically 3.5.
i don't have much to say on this one. i really don't remember it.
The Thorn Queen Deluxe Limited Edition
I loved Poppy War, and I love the bits of Katabasis I have read so far, but this one really didn't hit like her other work.
Yellowface (Reese's Book Club Pick)
actually 3.5
this book was just a load of fun. i loved the concept, and the storyline. i can't wait to see what happens next!
Dungeon Crawler Carl (Dungeon Crawler Carl Series #1)
4 stars
a super quick-paced read for me! I am slowly but surely trying to get into horror/mystery, while I wouldn't consider this a true horror or really even a mystery, I enjoyed the few twists and turns that were taken throughout the story. My biggest crit...
Strange Pictures: A Novel
while it wasn't perfect, I loved this concept and had a great time reading!
Anatomy: A Love Story
Deliciously mundane and a bit unsettling at points.
I hadn’t read I’m Glad My Mom Died, but I was so intrigued in reading Jennette McCurdy’s fiction debut and I was pleasantly surprised. Waldo was a character who was hard to place.
Half His Age
read heated rivalry first.
The Long Game (Deluxe Limited Edition) (Game Changers #6)
i still haven't watched the show, but this book is worth reading.
Margo's Got Money Troubles: A Novel
technically 4.5.
Now tell me why it took me like two years to read this book! It was so fun, and the magic system kept me interested. I immediately ran to the store after I finished so I could pick up the sequel, and I can't wait to get into it!
I ...
A River Enchanted (Elements of Cadence Series #1)
a really unique and special retelling about one of my favorite mythological couples.
Fruit of the Dead: A Novel
Hello Bartholomew. Rachel Gillig is my favorite author, easily. However, this book just didn't really hit for me. I don't know what it was about the story, but it just was a bit *flat*. It was repetitive, and oddly enough, it felt like it fell into t...
The Knave and the Moon (B&N Exclusive Edition)
5 stars
i did a full review on my youtube. it's SOOOO good.
Hamnet
I loved the way this book was written. Kept me intrigued the entire time.
Headshot: A Novel
might be my favorite book of the year. i am so pleasantly surprised by this book. the writing style was so fun and genuinely had me laughing at certain points. i loved that it was written to a “you” and it almost felt like we were reading a diary.
Notes on Your Sudden Disappearance: A Novel
I was so excited for this book because of the concept, and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. For most of the book, it was going to be a 4-4.5, but the ending got me into five-star territory! The writing was unique in a way that kept me interested, and while I g...
Yesteryear (GMA Book Club Pick)
I was a bit hesitant going into this book because, even though I loved the concept, influencer books are pretty hit-or-miss, but I think Brooke Averick did a really great job. The characters felt realistic, and while the ending worked itself out a bi...
Phoebe Berman's Gonna Lose It: A Novel; New York Times Bestseller
this book was pretty spectacular (pun intended). i was so excited to see that there was a book about soccer that wasn’t a romance, and even more excited when i learned that soccer played a rather large role in the story itself. i played for around 15...
Spectacular Things: Reese's Book Club: A Novel
my boyfriend pointed this book out to me in a bookstore and I am so glad he did. it was beautiful.
