Most homes don't have AC in the UK, so a portable one has to do. I move it to any room I'm sitting in and it definitely helps!

I won't lie, these don't last very long. They feel cool for 30 minutes, maybe an hour, but they have help me to fall asleep during hot nights. I've also noticed that my dog loves to lay on it, and it seems to help him, so perhaps it's worth a buy.
