Awesom book full of interesting, practical and inspiring advice from a wide variety of leaders. Tim Ferris asks great questions and the answers he gets are super insightful.
Tools of Titans
Don't get hung up on the lingo being a bit weird. The lessons about needing to overcome insecurities and be vulnerable to be an effective leader are gold.
Dare to Lead: Brave Work & Tough Conversations
This book starts off good, but if you stick with it to the end, it's great! So no, it's not just a clever name. Seriously though, Jim Collins has been a leader in the Leadership advice genre for many years, and yet his advice is still relevant today.
Good to Great: Why Some Companies Succeed
Oldie but a goodie. The title sounds a bit nefarious, but don't worry, "influencing people" isn't manipulating people. It's about how to lead so people will follow.
How to Win Friends and Influence People
Another oldie but goodie. I. guess I'm old. Yikes. This book still holds up. It is about leading with integrity and being true to your values.
Principle-centered leadership
20 years ago, my colleague gave me this book when I moved up to Sr Management. I really enjoy the format of it. Its bite-sized lessons are easy to learn and apply. Low investment read, high-quality leadership skills.
