Activities that keep little hands busy and little minds engaged without the chaos. My toddlers love these so much.
Old reliable. Works for ages 4–10. Every page has dozens of hidden objects so it lasts longer than a coloring book.
Hidden Picture Sticker Challenge
Markers that only show up on the special paper. Genius. Means your toddler can ‘color’ on the couch without you having a heart attack.
Color Wonder mess-free markers
Tiny, addictive, open-ended building toy. Quieter than Legos, smaller pile to step on, and they fit in a tin for travel. BE CAREFUL WITH SMALLER KIDS. CHOKE HAZARD.
Plus-Plus building pieces
Wax-coated yarn that bends and sticks to anything. Kids make letters, animals, and weird sculptures for an hour. Reusable forever.
Wikki Stix
Fine motor work disguised as a quiet activity. Perfect for the 3–5 age range. Melissa & Doug has the classic set.
Lacing Cards
Cheap, character-themed, and the favorite-character buy-in means they'll actually sit and do it. Dollar Tree has tons.
Activity sticker book
Free, ad-free, genuinely educational, works on any old tablet. The only screen-time I don't feel weird about.
Khan Academy Kids app (free)
60-pc puzzles for the older kids. Pull it out on a rainy day and lose them for an hour.
Floor puzzles (Older kids)
Big pieces, little hands. This oversized floor puzzle helps toddlers build problem-solving skills while keeping them happily busy. Easy to grab, easy to love.
Floor puzzles (Younger kids)
Etsy and TPT has tons of printable busy book bundles under $10. Print, laminate (see the laminator above), velcro into a binder. Lasts years.
