A list of my frequently visited restaurants in the Miami area, mostly West Miami. The majority of these are local, hole-in-the-walls, Latin food places that are family friendly.
Their cheese and pepperoni slices are HUGE, and the price can’t be beat! They also offer delicious, juicy chicken wings and subs.

Wood-fired, wildly creative, and impossible to label. Walrus Rodeo (sister spot to Boia De) turns carrot tartare and green lasagna into the hottest food menu item in Miami. Equal parts pizza joint, pasta den, and part vegetarian.

Best Family Friendly Beaches
Not all beach spots in Miami are kid-friendly (IFKYK). You won't have to worry about wild crowds on these beaches.
This beach offers beautiful, spacious, and clean beaches with calm, shallow waters, making it ideal for families. There is also plenty of parking and available restrooms!
Crandon Park
The beach is great because it's a sheltered tidal lagoon, so there's no waves and the water is up to 20 degrees warmer than the actual ocean beach. Bring a towel, some drinks and just sit there while the kids play in the water and with the sand!
Matheson Hammock Park & Marina
I love this option because it's in South Beach, so you have lots of entertaining for everyone, but specifically because this beach offers a playground for the kids, has restrooms and shelters nearby, and the environment here is very family-oriented.
