Easy Wins (Under $40)
Small upgrades I use constantly that make an immediate difference.
I got tired of sitting directly next to an outlet. This lets me comfortably use my phone from the couch, bed, or anywhere I’m sitting.
Extra-long fast-charging cable
I love not having to think about plugging my phone in and just set it down and move on.
Wireless charging pad
One of those upgrades that quietly makes life easier. I use it for lamps and small electronics so I don’t have to think about switches.
Smart Plug
A tiny fix that keeps chargers from constantly falling behind furniture or disappearing.
Cord Holder Cable Organizer Clips
Everyday Upgrades ($50–$100)
Tech I interact with daily that was worth spending a little more on.
I use these daily for calls, podcasts, and quick listening and there’s no cords, no bulk, no hassle.
Apple AirPods (2nd or 3rd gen)
This instantly made my setup more comfortable without changing anything else about my workspace.
Laptop stand / riser
A small upgrade that made everyday computer use feel smoother and less frustrating.
Bluetooth keyboard or mouse
Worth-It Splurges ($100-$250)
Upgrades I hesitated on but now wouldn’t want to live without.
I didn’t buy these right away, but they’re absolutely worth it when I need focus or quiet.
Noise Cancelling Smart Headphones
I use this constantly for timers, reminders, music, and quick questions without grabbing my phone.
Smart speaker or smart display
This gave me a second screen without committing to a full desk setup and made multitasking noticeably easier.
Portable monitor
Long-Term Investments ($250+)
Bigger purchases I use enough to fully justify the price.
I use this for reading, streaming, notes, and light work and it has replaced multiple devices for me.
Tablet (Apple iPad)
I like being able to check notifications quickly without constantly picking up my phone.
Smartwatch
This was a bigger investment, but it paid off in everyday comfort especially if you work from home and sit often.
