Things to make the postpartum journey as easy as possible! These are all the items I reached for daily those first several weeks post-birth. I had a vaginal delivery with a second degree tear.
Postpartum disposable underwear. These are much easier than a large pad, but the sizing is small. Also really great if you have any bladder leakage after a vaginal delivery.
Always Discreet Postpartum and Adult Incontinence Underwear for Women
Disposable nursing pads - great for the first few weeks when milk supply is crazy. I didn’t end up needing them until about a month in. Now I keep a handful in my diaper bag and wear them anytime I leave the house.
Lansinoh Stay Dry Disposable Nursing Pads for Breastfeeding
Tucks medicated cooling pads. I layered these on top of my pad or “diaper”. Used two containers.
TUCKS Medicated Cooling Pads with Witch Hazel
Peri bottle superior to the one provided by the hospital. Def bring with you to the hospital. The hospital one is fine, but once you try this one you’ll understand why you need it.
Frida Mom Upside Down Peri Bottle for Cleansing after Birth
Instant ice packs for the downstairs. They work well, used 2 boxes of these. The hospital provided some similar ones, but I had issues getting them to activate.
Frida Mom Instant Ice Maxi Pads 🧊
I’ve used so many Earth Mama products and they’re all great! I love that they use simple and clean ingredients. I have consistently used their nipple butter and still have about 2/3 left at 6 weeks postpartum.
Earth mama organic nipple butter
Cheaper alternative to the silverettes. I’ve only used these, but think they work great. I use them daily.
Koala Babycare Silver Nursing Cups - Standard
Elvie catch cups. Great once your milk really comes in and if you experience a significant letdown on the side you’re not feeding on.
Elvie breast milk collection cups
Nursing gown with matching robe. I wore both in the hospital and continue to wear the robe regularly. Very light weight, stretchy, and comfortable.
Latuza Women's Viscose Nursing Nightgown & Robe
Affordable nursing bras. I wear these daily. They’re super comfy and get the job done. They’re not super easy to hide under a lot of shirts though.
HBselect Women Maternity Nursing Bras 5 Pack
Reusable nursing pads - great for when your milk supply evens out and you’re not going through so many disposable pads.
Kindred Bravely Organic Nursing Pads 10pk
Dye-free stool softener. Used this for about a week postpartum. Helpful initially, but then felt like it made my poop too soft and things got messy. I’ve heard people continue taking these for weeks though.
Colace Clear Stool Softener Soft Gel Capsules 💩
Disposable postpardum underwear. Loved these because if I didn’t want to wear pants I still felt like I was wearing something. They were kind of cute honestly and super comfy.
Frida Mom 8pc Postpartum Disposable Boyshorts
Perineal spray (clean brand!) Never ended up using this, but have heard a lot of people love it. I just ended up with way too many products.
Earth Mama Herbal Perineal Spray
Medicated foam to help you heal! Never ended up using this, but have heard a lot of people love it. I just ended up with way too many products.
Frida Mom Witch Hazel Perineal Healing Foam
Another option for postpardum disposable underwear. I like these better than the postpartum version. This version’s sizing is better too. Just make sure to buy non-scented. I found it easier to just use these instead of using disposable underwear wit...
Always Discreet - Adult Diapers for Women
Postnatal vitamins - great brand! Took their prenatals during the peak of my nausea because they were easier on my stomach.
MegaFood Baby & Me 2 Postnatal Multi
My tailbone hurt soooo bad after giving birth. 6 weeks in and it still hurts after a busy day. This pillow has saved me. I keep it in my nursing chair all the time.
AUVON Donut Pillow Hemorrhoids Orthopedic Cushion
If you’re breastfeeding, these are so nice. I’ve only used them as cold packs so far, but they work as hot packs too. I’ve had a lot of breast inflammation and these have helped that go away.
Lansinoh Hot & Cold Breast Therapy packs
Went through nearly the entire can! Sprayed directly on my skin and sprayed into my pad.
Dermoplast Pain Relief Spray
Comfy and convenient pumping bra. I like that it zips in the front. It’s super easy to get off and on. Works great.
Simple Wishes Hands-Free Pumping Bra, XS-Plus
Love that these are organic. Super important since the area is so delicate. I continued to use these in my normal underwear until about 4 weeks postpartum.
Rael Organic Cotton Period Pads, Wings, 12ct
One of my nipples became injured pretty early on and this was recommended to me by my lactation consultant. I gave that side a 24 hour rest and used this stuff regularly. It helped a ton!
Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream
Another great brand for organic pads! I switched the these after about 3ish weeks when I didn’t need the long and thick ones anymore.
Cora Organic Ultra Thin Regular Period Pads, 32 Count
Wiping after #2 was very scary those first few weeks. I went through so many packs of these! So much better and more gentle than toilet paper.
The prenatal I took through the majority of my pregnancy and continue to take postpartum. I think this is the best brand for supplements!
