From rollers to sash to detail I've seen it all.
A good nylon/polyester sash brush set will last you a while. Get several sizes to help with laying in colors while maintaining that smooth finish.

Tools
Tools are something that are harder to think about when you're an artist. I've been especially mindful about them since managing a shop.
The anti rust on this is particularly helpful. My painters leave these guys on the sink all the time.

Protect your body! It's the only 1 you've got.
When wearing a respirator as often as painters do, go for the breath right one. It helps immensely if you wear glasses and have problems with the other 3M respirators fogging them up.
