This is a compiled list of TV series that I’ve come to really love and I feel deserve to be moved up on your “want to watch” list. Ranging from Sci-Fi, Drama and Comedies.
One of my favourite shows of all time. A sci-fi mystery that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It’s not only visually stunning, but it also has one of the best scores.

This show moved me in such a deep way. It’s all about a young woman, who feels the urge to leave her life behind and move into the wilderness. It’s about survival and learning to cope with yourself in the world.
Penelope
Season 2 is about to come out, so it’s the perfect time to watch the first season. Another sci-fi mystery with incredible writing and acting.
Severance
I genuinely didn’t think I’d give a hoot about this show, but it was actually incredible. It breaks down land ownership, greed and power in a profound way. I also loved the music!
Yellowstone
I think I binged Season 1 in two days. I’m such a sucker for a good sci-fi series and this one scratched the itch for me. It’s all about a community living in an underground silo, because the air above is toxic. Very gripping and exciting!
Silo
This Australian comedy needs to be on your watchlist. I think I’ve seen this show 3-4 times now, and I love it every time. It’s equally hilarious and heartfelt.

You have to get through Season 1, which is pretty campy… But Buffy has some of the best episodes of television I’ve ever seen.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Based on a true story, this book adaptation was phenomenal. It’s best you go in blind.
Under the Bridge
Ramy Youssef is one of my favourite comedians & his show is all about being a first generation Egyptian-American, learning how to balance the moral consciousness inherited by his Muslim culture and life as a millennial in America.
Ramy
An insanely hilarious show about the realities of being a teenager & growing up in the early 2000’s.

An all Indigenous cast!? Shows like this deserve to get made and boy, is this worth the watch.
Reservation Dogs
The acting, music and writing - it’s all so good. This show definitely deserves a trigger warning as it deals with SA, but it’s really powerful & well made.
I May Destroy You
If you enjoyed Insecure, I feel like this is another one you’ll enjoy. A young woman in England learning to forge her own path and navigating the dating world. It’s a dramedy, leaning a little more in the comedy department.
Queenie
One of the most impressive shows ever made, absolutely stunning on all fronts.
Shōgun
Based on the 2020 novel, this comedy is about a background character, trapped in a police procedural. He discover secrets about the strange world he inhabits and his family's buried history.
Interior Chinatown
This dramedy is heavy but moving all the same. I really appreciated Richard Gadd’s vulnerability considering this is based on true events that actually happened to him in real life.
Baby Reindeer
If you’re a fan of Dune at all, this is definitely a must watch. Based on the prequel novel written by Frank Hebert’s son called, “Sisterhood of Dune”. This series takes place 10,000 years before Paul Atreides. We learn how the sisterhood came to be ...
