Before I got the right device, I was bouncing between HDMI inputs like a DJ switching turntables. These let you search across every app from one screen and actually pull up results in one place.

At one point I had four remotes on my coffee table and still couldn't figure out which one controlled volume. These replaced the whole pile.

Dialogue was impossible to hear on some apps but fine on others. Turns out my TV speakers were the bottleneck, not the apps themselves.

Nothing ruins a unified setup like buffering in the middle of a show. My old router choked every time two people streamed at once. Fixed that permanently.

Cables everywhere, remotes sliding off tables, streaming sticks dangling behind TVs. Once the tech worked, I still needed to make it not look like a mess.
