One of the best books I’ve ever read. A great introduction to Historical Fiction and sure to make you cry.
The Nightingale: A Novel - Hannah, Kristin: Books
Such a devastating and gripping story told in the most poetic way. Cannot recommend this enough. Prepare to cry!
Beartown (Beartown Trilogy #1)
Kristin Hannah can do no wrong, and this book is no exception. I cried throughout and threw it across the room at times, but even still this was my top read of 2024!
The Great Alone
This book made me feel every single emotion. I laughed, I cried, I was shocked, I was angry— the list goes on. An easy 5 star read!
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
Mystery/Thriller
My favorite book of all time! Trust the process with this one and it’s best to go in completely blind!
The Last House on Needless Street
I didn’t see the plot twist coming in this one AT. ALL.
Look Closer
This book plays out like a movie in your head. It explores important themes of race, sexuality, violence, and complicated family dynamics. An incredible book I could not put down.
Razorblade Tears
Horror
Such a unique, folklorian horror novel from start to finish. Abatha is one of my favorite characters of all time!
Slewfoot: A Tale of Bewitchery
A cozy horror novel that has the perfect balance of scary, funny, and heartwarming moments throughout. This culminates in the most beautiful way and I will never forget this one!
The September House
One of the weirdest books I’ve ever read, and I mean that as a compliment.
I'm Thinking of Ending Things: A Novel
Proceed with caution, but easily the most memorable reading experience I’ve ever had.
Tender Is the Flesh
Non-Fiction
The best memoir I’ve ever read- hands down!
I'm Glad My Mom Died
I kept forgetting this was a memoir because it reads like a thriller novel at times. An incredible story of the author’s life— I cannot recommend this one more!
