Remarkably Bright Creatures (Read with Jenna Pick)
Moving, relatable, and timely. This is novel is one I think everyone should read, but be prepared, it's an emotional and challenging read, that confronts controversial issues headon.
Demon Copperhead (Pulitzer Prize Winner) (Oprah's Book Club Pick)
This is the only novel I gave 5 stars to in 2025. It's absolutely phenomenal and I thought about it for days after finished it.
Grown Women: A Novel
A must read! I thought about this book long after I finished it. You know a book is amazing when you can’t stop thinking about it once you’ve finished it.
James (Pulitzer Prize Winner)
This is an emotional story of two women, one in her 80s and the other in her 20s, who become unlikely friends. Both have their secrets and through their relationship discover how to move forward and leave the past behind.
The Japanese Lover
Non-fiction that reads like fiction
Amazing list of non-fiction novels that read more like fictional. There's definitely more than just dry facts and dates in these.
Larson's is the absolute best at writing non-fiction that reads like fiction. He brings this true life event to life and puts the reader right in the middle of the story.
The Devil in the White City
An emotional page turning account of the unjust and tragic treatment of Native Americans in the early 20th century. Although, it's a heavy and upsetting read, I highly recommend it.
Killers of the Flower Moon
Hands down my favorite non-fiction book. This story is about so much more than the author's garden. Through her process of building and growing her family garden, she highlights so many issues affecting society today. Including, racism and land owner...

Historical Fiction about Women
All of these novels center around women in history, telling their stories which have been lost over time and several are inspired by true events.
Kate Quinn never disappoints! A gripping fast paced story set during WWII about Mila, a young mom and history student, turned sniper. Her journey is heartbreaking, empowering, and heartwarming all at once.
The Diamond Eye book by Kate Quinn
Inspired by the band Fleetwood Mac and the turbulent relationships between it's members, this novel had me hooked from the first page to the last.
Daisy Jones & The Six book by Taylor Jenkins Reid
If you like historical fiction with a mystery, with a little magical realism sprinkled in, this one's for you. I was so charmed by this story, that I found it hard to put down.

Happy Place
This is Hilderbrand's final novel in the summer series based in Nantucket, and ironically, this was the first novel of hers I read. Needless to say, I've been reading her previous novels ever since.
Swan Song
A heartwarming story of a young woman, fresh out of a broken engagement, who moves back home where she decides to open a bookstore in an old sea captain’s home on Cape Cod. I loved this one and it’s the perfect beach or poolside read.

Elin Hilderbrand is known for consistently spinnin a unique tale, and this book certainly doesn't disappoint. One woman's life story told over 28 summers is one of my favorite books by this author. I literally couldn't put it down.

Each and every one of these had me on the edge of my seat, and some I had to stay up all night just to find out what happened next.
My first novel by Ruth Ware and I've been hooked ever since. She expertly tells a pulse racing story while at the same time addresing many real life issues such as, classism in academia, toxic relationships, PTSD, and bias in the justice system.
The It Girl book by Ruth Ware
This novel had been out for awhile when I finally read it, and let me tell you I can see why it was so popular. So many twists and turns, which I love and the ending took me completely by surprise.
The Silent Patient book by Alex Michaelides
A heartwarming coming of age story that follows Native American high school senior Daunis while she goes undercover in the hopes of finding her best friends killer.

Fantastic Fantasy
This is one you'll either like or you won't. This is a slow burn, with a complex plot, and many characters. If you enjoy a book that provides an alternate reality, where magic is real, then this one is perfect for you.

I ran across this gem quite by accident at one of my treasured used bookstores, and once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I mean, what's better than a book that takes place in a library?

Books that pose interesting and sometimes controversial questions that cause the reader to think about what they might do in a particular set of circumstances and see these issues from a new perspective.
If there was a place that allowed you to safely sleep through a time of grief, would you choose to do it? This is just one of the questions the author presents in this thought provoking novel. I thought about this one long after I finished it.
