Six months out, my skin was stress-breaking out from wedding planning. I needed a base that would make foundation actually stick through crying, dancing, and hugging 150 people in July heat.

I tested nine foundations on different weekends leading up to the wedding. Most melted by hour three. These are the ones that held up through my dad's speech, which absolutely wrecked me.

Between seating chart arguments and vendor emails at 1 AM, my under-eyes looked like I'd been in a boxing match. Needed something that wouldn't crease during the ceremony or cake cutting.

My biggest fear was sweating through my vows. We got married outdoors in June and I refused to look melted in photos my grandkids would see someday.

Wanted a soft glam eye that would look romantic but not run down my face during the vows. Tested waterproof everything and most of it was a lie. These actually held up.

Flat faces photograph terribly — learned that the hard way from engagement photos where I looked washed out. Needed dimension that would show up on camera without looking clownish in person.

Needed a lip that would last through appetizers, the kiss, cake smashing, and every aunt wanting a photo — without reapplying every twenty minutes or leaving marks on my husband's face.

Packed a little bag of fix-it products and handed it to my maid of honor. She used almost everything in it by the end of the night — on me, the bridesmaids, and honestly herself.
