The trick is giving these 30 minutes before the thunder starts. I used to wait until my dog was already shaking and then wonder why nothing helped. Now I check the weather app and dose early.

Some dogs need pressure, not just treats. Mine would still tremble even after the chews kicked in until I added a wrap. The combo of both was the real turning point.

Chews weren't enough on their own for my dog. Adding a liquid or powder supplement to her food made the baseline anxiety lower, so when storms hit, the chews could actually do their job.

Blocking out the actual thunder sound made a bigger difference than I expected. My dog reacts to the noise more than the pressure changes, so drowning it out was half the battle.

My dog needed a den-like spot to retreat to. Once I stopped forcing her to sit with me on the couch and gave her a proper safe space, the calming treats started working way better.

These run in the background all the time so your dog's baseline anxiety stays lower. Think of it like keeping the room slightly chill so when the storm hits, your dog isn't starting from a 10 out of 10 panic.
