The Quarry at Grant Park
This is a nice playground with grass field for sports, a concrete and dirt walking path, a stream, picnic tables, a nice playground, it’s across the street from West End shops like Cafe Gelato, Smoke City Meats, The Remedy Coffeehouse and Joymongers.
Hanes Park
This park offers beautiful views, hiking, events and great memories as you explore. There is a sturdy swinging bridge here so you could walk to the second peak.
Grandfather Mountain
This park offers hiking, camping, swimming, rock climbing, and picnicking. There’s a few waterfalls that will beckon you to return. Especially the one with the swimming hole. It’s a decent climb back up, but it’s so worth the effort.
Hanging Rock State Park
This park has so many great hiking trails with waterfalls. It is such a beautiful park.
Nantahala National Forest

A friend referred us to this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. We sat upstairs overlooking the bar, I enjoyed the cityscape view out the window while sipping on a cocktail and eating lunch. It’s in a nice area to take a stroll.

This bar is in a great location of downtown Kernersville. They have draft beer, some wine, premade cocktails, cbd beers and great seating. There’s a pizza place across the street, but also have food trucks in the vicinity on weekends.

We had a great time playing putt putt golf here. There’s two courses with electronic point pads throughout so you can play without having your hands full. You can relax at the lounge, and delight your tastebuds at the bar and restaurant.
Puttery
There’s so much to do here that we decided to come back and explore. We played almost every game in the arcade a couple of times, had some drinks, played Pool and one course of putt putt. We missed out on rides, mini karts and bowling.
Frankie's of Charlotte
Dave and Buster’s is one of my favorite arcades. The game selection changes, the location in Winston Salem is within a mall, and I like to eat drink there.

There’s two courses of 18 holes here. They are fun and challenging and include baseball, basketball, cup pong, and pool into the game. They also have a tight little electric mini karts course and an arcade.
