Twin loss is a unique type of loss and grief. One that isn't easily understood by singletons (non-twins). As a twinless twin, I understand how difficult it is to walk through life without your twin. A few years ago, we threw the twins a Peter Rabbit themed party. These are some of the amazing decor pieces we bought! We focused on turning the house into Mr. McGregor's garden. Our definition of diversity might be a little broader than others--in our house we focus on learning about people who don't look like us (race, physical differences, such as disability,) people who don't live like us (socioeconomic differences), people who don't work like us (overnight jobs), and diverse historical figures (A is for Awesome), and breaking gender stereotypes. This list is geared more towards the under 5 crowd. I hope other parents might find it a good starting point to think about diversity in your home too!

A month in the life of twin mom needing things from Target!

I've always struggled with Halloween. It's never been my favorite. Since my twins were born, I've been trying to embrace the holiday so as not to burden them with why Halloween is so difficult for me. I've been creating pink and preppy Halloween decor. Taking something I enjoy- the movie Legally Blonde and pairing it with Halloween in a slighty spooky and definitely playful way! I hope this brings a bit of light and levity to anyone else who isn't totally onboard with guts and gore.
