This is a super friendly list of all things that you're going to find wonderfully user-friendly in the kitchen. I make sure that there are no items on this list that are known to be stressful for many in the neurodivergent community (like wool, heavy...

Flow Coffee - Adaptogenic coffee with Lion's Mane ...
Take back control! I cannot live without these now, especially as we have a busy household and all three of us are ADHD with serious memory issues. Also brilliant for ANYONE with memory issues. We use these every day and absolutely lovely them. By getting everyone to add things onto the lists they also take a bit more responsibility for being places on time/shwoing up/getting things done (great for helping to nudge family members to do their chores!). Absolutely wonderful could not live without them now, everything is organised 🙌

Such a fantastic squeezer! The fact is many neurodivergent people have co-ordination issues and trying to use a traditional lemon squeezer can be a complete hassle. Lemons flying everywhere, juice everywhere, the twisting motion is just difficult for some. I use a lot of lemons in cooking and for my drinks, so I needed something sturdy and easy to handle. This squeezer is fantastic. Pop half the lemon into it, use both hands to squeeze the levers closed (much easy to coordinate I find) and the lemon is totally juiced. I genuinely love this 🥰
Zulay Metal 2-In-1 Lemon Lime Squeezer
The easiest-to-handle toasted sandwich maker I've ever used. I'm so clumsy and have to be super careful in the kitchen. I came across this sandwich maker at a friend's house and decided to have a go to see if I could use it without damaging the food or myself, and SUCCESS! The big bonus for me was that there is a large gap between the handle that you drop down at the hot plate. It meant it was a lot safe for me to use and even if I did fumble a bit I didn't burn myself. This has a fantastic design and I'm making toasties every other day in our house, absolutely marvellous for anyone with co-ordination issues 🥳
Breville Sandwich/Panini Press & Toastie Maker
Fabulous little tomato saver. Not only is this great for saving parts of those big tomatoes, but it's fabulous for anyone with dexterity problems as it's a simple screw on and off lid (one small twist secures it) and it's wonderfully sealed and looks... I have this as well as the onion saver and lemon saver and I use them all the time. Never had a problem popping them in my dishwasher too 🙌🫶🏽
Joie Kitchen Gadgets Clear Tomato Pod, Plastic
I LOVE this washing-up bowl!! Dyspraxic people can have issues with motor skills, and so trying to empty a traditional washing-up bowl full of water is a nightmare! With the easy empty user-friendly twist plug at the bottom the headache and possible accident is removed. So easy to lift out of the sink with the handles and brightens up the sink too. The Joseph & Joseph range are particularly friendly to those with OCD or need a high level of tidiness (such as myself) as they focus on friendly but non-grating colours, making things user friendly, and being able to store their items as easily ... A fantastically neurodivergent-friendly range. This washing up bowl is a must 👏🏻
Joseph Joseph Wash & Drain Kitchen Washing Bowl
Absolutely love this set! Considering it's quite brightly coloured I've found it just cheers me up rather than causes anxiety. It is so fantastic to have a range of kitchen equipment that can nest together like this. If you're OCD or like things super neat (like me) this is perfect. I will sometimes spend half an hour making sure a couple of things are perfectly straight, but with this set, everything sits perfectly within one another and aligned. I use this every single day. I particularly love that the mixing bowl has a silicone bottom to stop it from sliding around, which is super neurodivergent-friendly for anyone who is dyspraxic. This is my most favourite set in the kitchen 👩🏻🍳
Nest™ 9 Plus Multicolour Bowl Set
What a fabulous little lemon saver this is. I've tried a couple of the years and either the lemon has dried out or the item broke. This one is so easy to use. It just twists on and off, no little bits that can break off, I pop mine regularly in the dishwasher and it looks fabulous sat in the fridge. Paid for itself since I've had it as I use so many lemons in cooking and I don't need to throw away any unused halves now 🫶🏽
Joie Lemon Storage Pod with Clear Lid, Plastic
I love these nested glass pyrex dishes. Having ones that can sit inside one another really is a game changer. It saves masses of space but it really soothing for my OCD and helps to soothe my ADHD as well as I like to cook a lot but that can mean creating quite a bit of chaos. These pyrex dishes are fantastic. They're glass so much safer to put hot food in so no plastic chemicals leech into food, they're incredible robust (I have dropped them a few times) so fabulous for anyone with dyspraxia, rounded edges that are soft to the touch and fabulous sizes tha... Such a great little set 👏🏻
Pyrex® Cook & Freeze Set of 4 Glass Dishes
Many neurodivergent people are sensitive to scents (me included), so it's really important we do as much as we can to reduce the smells around us to give our brains a much-needed break from unnecessary processing. I do a lot of cooking, so I have lots of leftover fruits/veggies in my fridge, including onions. My fridge is one of the quietest and most fabulous fridges I've ever had, I genuinely love it, but it loves to hold on to onion smells, so I had to find something that would be perfect at storing chopped or half onions in it. I did a lot of research, tried some that weren't great, but then came across this fantastic onion saver. It is easy to open and close, there's no part of it that's going to break with use, and it traps the onion smells inside of it. I find if I turn it upside down, I can put leftover chopped onion in the onion-shaped lid part then twist on the bottom and nothing leaks at all. It's absolutely doing the job 100% and I love it. There's also a lemon saver that I use and that works perfectly too so I'll add that to the list 🥳
Joie Clear Onion Pod, Orange
Fantastic bathroom organiser. I have so many toiletries in the bathroom and because of bad memory I need them all out on display so I can remember what I have so they don't go off before I can use the products!
This is a fantastic organiser. I prefer the ones without compartments so I am not forced to try to make things fit. Instead I can load them up however I want to. I have one that I have a lovely pile of rolled up facecloths and another two that hold all different types of toiletries and another that holds spare toilet rolls, wet wipes etc.
I love that these are really solid so they're not going to bend under any weight when they're lifted up for cleaning (it's so easy to clean under one organiser that lifts every thing up rather than having to lift/move every single product to clean!! ...
Absolutely love this, quality organisation that can be used in bathrooms, kitchen, fridges, cupboards, the office 👏🏻
Fridge Organiser, Stackable Storage Container
Saved my sanity! I'm OCD and absolutely need things to be organised and especially for things to be perfectly aligned or I get stressed out. One thing that was causing me a lot of anxiety was the drinks cans I have in my fridge not being perfectly lined up. With other family member in and out of the fridge the lines of cans were always being knocked.
So, I got one of these and I am not all sorted! So easy to just stack up the drinks cans and they fit perfectly and stay aligned so no adjusting needed, plus I find it much better to stack them this way as I wasn't able to put two cans end to end on top of each other in the fridge and two lines of...
This item saves all the hassle and stress and has created more space in my fridge. It's a small thing but it really does help to manage my nead for orderliness. I'm sure you'll love it too 🙌
Fridge Organiser
Yes, finally! A utensil holder that can be stored out of sight! I'm OCD and I absolutely need to have things organised and aligned and this holder is amazing at doing just that. I don't have to spend hours making sure everything sits straight as they hang perfectly. For me, I need to know that things are organised even when they are out of sight, and so I was absolutely thrilled when Joseph Joseph came up with this design that can be fitted inside cupboards so it's organised, not taking up space, and out of sigh... I love this so much. My entire house is full of Joseph Joseph products as they are perhaps some of the most neurodivergent-friendly, user-friendly products on this lovely planet of ours ❤️
DoorStore™ 4-piece Opal Kitchen Utensil Set
Fabulous magentic planner. If your memory is not great or have a hectic household (both apply to me) then this is fantastic to have stuck to your fridge door. This has been massively helpful in planning for family dinners for the week ahead (that then makes it easier to create a shopping list based on the planned meals), it means other family members can add notes to it about any important happening in the... This is great for helping to capture the important things for the week ahead and will make you feel much more calmer and less anxious that you've forgotten something if you can see it written down in big letters stuck to the fridge! 🥳🫶
Scribble Magnetic Whiteboard Fridge Calendar
If you are OCD (or just love anything that helps you to organise and saves space) then this is the ultimate bin for you! I adore Joseph Joseph products as they are so well designed to take up as little space as possible while giving the maximum amount of usability. This bin is awesome. I absolutely have to organise my recycling, trash, and food waste and now instead of multiple bins I have one and it is stacked so takes up minimal room. Super user friendly, looks great, easy to change liners and to remove the internal bins which will be helpful if you have co-ordination issues. Love it ❤️
Totem Max 60L Stainless-steel Waste & Recycling Bin
I have this and I LOVE it. I always have to maximise my kitchen space as I have a small kitchen. I'm also OCD so I need things to be super organised, even when I'm washing up! This is a fabulous drainer that extends when you need it to hold more items. Non-scratch, fantastic little drainer built in. Comes apart easy for cleaning (I have popped it in my dishwasher a number of times and it has come out sparkly clean), and it looks fabulous. If you're looking for a new drainer, this is the one. Super neurodivergent-friendly as easy on the eyes, easy to use, and matt colours 🫶
