items This is a super friendly list of all things that you're going to find wonderfully touchable and user-friendly around the home. I make sure that there are no items on this list that are known to be stressful for many in the neurodivergent community (like wool, heavy jean fabric, silky nylon, tweed, jute etc.) or items that are not super easy to use. Instead, I find comfy furniture that is also good for posture (I'm quite keen on getting good ergonomics into offices and homes!), usable home stuff, and snuggly fabrics that will bring you mental peace, cosy relaxation, comfort, and joy ♾️

This is two fantastic neurodivergent-friendly things in one! 🥳 First off, you have the glorious mirror ball planter. When the light hits this it will create the most beautiful and calming shimmer of lights across walls, ceilings and even in gardens. So many neurodivergent people I know have these - they are calming on the senses to look at when they do not have light bouncing off them, and they are wonderfully beautiful and soothing when they gently sparkle when hit with sunlight or indoor lights. Perfect for hanging from the ceiling in a children's bedroom. If you then put in a living plant (particularly a fern or palm type plant) then it will add to the soothing effects as well as help to purify the air, which is fabulous for those with heightened senses who pick up on impurities in the environment. This is also soothing as it connects the senses to the outdoors and that is calming. These come in many different sizes and are easily installed and look incredibly cool too. Brilliant gift to either yourself or someone else - just fabulous 👏🏻
