Skin & Base Products
Â
My holy grail for creating ripped skin and creepy textures. Flexible, dries clear, and blends perfectly with cotton/tissue for wounds. A must-have for realistic gore.
Liquid Latex - Mehron Makeup
Â
Smooth, pliable wax that’s perfect for building scars, cuts, and raised textures. Stays put when sealed and blends beautifully into skin with a little Vaseline.
The classic adhesive for attaching prosthetics, gems, or small appliances. Strong hold but removes easily with remover.
Mehron Spirit Gum - Versatile Adhesive for SFX & Cosplay
Â
The industry standard adhesive for heavy-duty prosthetics. Dries tacky, waterproof, and basically bulletproof until you remove it. A pro kit essential.
Pros-Aide - The Original - | Kryolan - Professional Make-up
Â
Cheap, easy, and brilliant for adding texture to latex wounds. You don’t need fancy materials – I still grab these for most gore looks.
Superdrug Cotton Wool Roll 125g | Skin
Â
Fantastic for burns, blisters, and melted-skin textures. Melts down easily and sets into a flexible finish that moves with your face.
Mehron 3D Gel
Â
Creates super realistic “indented scar” effects. Apply in layers and it literally shrinks the skin. A small bottle goes a long way.
Rigid collodion scarring make-up
Paints & Pigments
Â
Affordable and skin-safe, great for colourful or base layer SFX looks. They blend easily and wash off without fuss, ideal for beginners.
Face Paint Classic Colours
Â
Richly pigmented and blendable, these are my go-to for professional SFX detailing. Perfect for bruises, shading, and realistic skin tones.
Kryolan Cream Colour Circle 6 Colours 01306
Â
A brilliant budget alternative, decent pigmentation and a good starter kit for experimenting with colour work.
SFX
Â
The best for setting cream paints and locking in SFX without caking. Light and invisible on camera.
Gentle but effective at breaking down the bulk of the paint. Skin-safe and doesn’t involve too much scrubbing. Will still more than likely need to use a proper SFX remover afterwards.
