This film is both funny and emotional, great and one of my favourites of all time.
The Intern (2015)
A great film for girls night as you watch 4 friends live their lives in New York city with shopping, dating and cocktails. It’s drama at every corner and each character has relatable and loveable qualities.
Sex and the City (2008)
A great film to watch during a break up or whenever you’re after a laugh as 3 girlfriends get revenge on the man they’re seeing.
The Other Woman (2014)
Anna seeks help from a lawyer as her older sister is battling cancer and Anna feels like her parents only conceived Anna to be a continuous donor to her sister. A great film with a twisted end.
My Sister's Keeper (2009)
Family movie night
Shark tale was always one of my favourite films as a kid and I still love it now. The characters had very distinct personalities and the songs are very catchy. It has a unique storyline.
Shark Tale (2004)
This is a great film that encourages uniqueness and creativity in children. It is a funny film with great animation.
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009)
This is a great film where a family try to escape the robot takeover, they travel across the country trying to find a way to end the robots rampage. Definitely worth a watch.
The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021)
A classic! Watching a group of friends go on an adventure after finding a treasure map. A funny film, great to watch, they don’t make films like they used to anymore.
The Goonies (1985)
A brilliant film with a great soundtrack. “Oh” is part of an alien species that has taken over Earth and are trying to evict the humans. Oh is an outcast of the alien species and makes friends with Tip a human girl and together they try to save Earth...
Home (2015)
Emotional tear jerkers
This is a great film making you both laugh and cry. Forrest is a kind optimistic guy who powers through all of his struggles to be reunited with his true love Jenny.
Forrest Gump (1994)
This is one of my favourite films, we watch Liesel a german girl live through WW2, this gets emotional very fast as her world is turned upside down.
The Book Thief (2013)
This film throws your emotions all over as a family faces a horrific natural disaster on holiday that pulls them apart.
The Impossible (2012)
We watch as Ellen is admitted to a group home to overcome her eating disorder. This film will make you both happy and sad and she gains and loses friends along the way.
To the Bone
This is a heartwarming film where we watch an unlikely friendship develop between Ben who takes a job as a caregiver for Trevor, a disabled teen who has given up on finding joy in life. They push each others limits and change both of their lives. Fun...
The Fundamentals of Caring (2016)

A great follow up to the previous 2 films and was great to see it was filmed in Northumberland!
28 Years Later (2025)
An interesting watch as Robert’s plane crashes on an deserted island and he has to learn to survive. Themes of adventure and resilience
Cast Away (2000)
Brad pitt stars as the main character in a zombie apocalypse trying to survive the brain eating monsters.
World War Z (2013)
A new film where robots have taken over the world, Michelle has to travel to find her brother but how will she do that when evil robots have taken over the land?
The Electric State (2025)
Essential war films
Watching a battalion of women do something others couldn’t do in years. It was a great watch for war film fanatics and women empowerment.
The Six Triple Eight (2024)
This is a great film based on a true story where a man manipulates his power to try to save the Jewish community from being sent to concentration camps during WW2.
Schindler's List (1993)
This is a great portrayal of the reality of war, many soldiers were convinced to join the army to boost their pride and serve their country, when they get there they have to face the reality of what war is really like.
All Quiet on the Western Front (2022)
This is a great film based on real life as Alan Turing attempts to break the German code Enigma during WW2. A beautiful yet heartbreaking watch.
The Imitation Game (2014)
I must admit I was first attracted to this knowing Cillian Murphy was the main character but I thoroughly enjoyed the film watching as Oppenheimer raced to develop the atomic bomb during WW2.
