Books that help me escape from reality!
“They came to earth--Pestilence, War, Famine, Death--four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They came to earth, and they came to end us all.”
I love the plot—it’s so interesting and engaging from start to finish. I really adore both the female protagonist and the Horseman, and the way their characters develop throughout the story kept me hooked. It’s beautifully written, emotional, and dee...
Pestilence (Book #1) | Laura Thalassa
“They came to earth--Pestilence, War, Famine, Death--four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. They say war obliterates everything--until the heart become...
To be honest, this is my least favorite book in the series, but it was still interesting nonetheless—just a little frustrating at times. I mean, come on, you have to buy the whole set! (All four of them—don’t worry, each book has different protagonis...
War (Book #2) | Laura Thalassa
“They came to earth--Pestilence, War, Famine, Death--four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity. Enemies. Survivors. Lovers. The apocalypse will change ever...
Slow burns? Yes. Enemies to lovers? Absolutely YES. Their constant bickering was really fun and entertaining to read, and it really added to their chemistry. I also love the plot overall.
What I especially enjoy is how each book feels familiar yet still different at the same time. There’s a consistent vibe throughout the series, but each story brings something new and unique—you’ll understand it once you read it.
Famine (Book #3) | Laura Thalassa
“They came to earth--Pestilence, War, Famine, Death--four horsemen riding their screaming steeds, racing to the corners of the world. Four horsemen with the power to destroy all of humanity.”
You think the other three Horsemen in the previous books are stubborn? Wait until you read this one—that’s all I can say! This one takes stubbornness to a whole new level, and it honestly made some scenes even more intense and entertaining. I couldn’...
Death (Book #4, Final Book) | Laura Thalassa
Acheron is my favorite among many of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark-Hunter books! Even after all these years, I still remember every bit of it, and it would be a shame not to share this story.
It is one of the most emotional and unforgettable books in the series, especially when it comes to Acheron’s past. His story is heartbreaking, tragic, and at times difficult to read, but that is also what makes the emotional moments feel so powerful.
This is not a quick or easy read emotionally, but it is absolutely memorable. Out of all the Dark-Hunter books, this is the one that stayed with me the most.
Acheron (A Dark-Hunter Novel) | Sherrilyn Kenyon
Styxx completely changed the way I saw Styxx as a character. After reading earlier Dark-Hunter books, I never expected to feel this emotional over his story, but this book proved that there are always two sides to every story.
The deeper I got into the novel, the more heartbreaking and tragic his journey became. This is easily one of the darkest and most emotionally intense books by Sherrilyn Kenyon. The amount of pain, loneliness, and suffering Styxx goes through was diff...
I found myself completely invested in his story and seeing familiar events from an entirely different perspective made the book even more powerful. The tone of the novel is very heavy, emotional, and dramatic, much like Acheron, but in its own way.
*It is not a light or easy read emotionally, but it is also unforgettable.

Mystery
Books filled with secrets, twists, and puzzles that pull you in and refuse to let go.
I couldn’t put this book down. It’s interactive, addictive, and so carefully crafted that every page pulls you deeper in. The pictures really make you stop and question everything, trying to piece it all together. And that ending—what a twist! I abso...
