Ultralight Men's travel edition!
19 items
This is what I use to travel with a single bag. You do need to do a bit of work but keeps your baggage as light as possible. Items can be adjusted as your destination change but this is good enough for mild to nice weather for me.
Things to eat in NYC
31 items
There’s so many places to go in the city but there’s only so many meals in a day. These are some of my go to restaurants and desert places cause I know they wont disappoint. I’m still trying new things so this will change as I find more wonderful places to eat. But beware of extremely inflated reviews!

Volleyball player essentials
30 items
I’m a longtime volleyball player and I still hit the courts around NYC. I have to make sure my bag has all my essentials since I prefer to bike around town to play. At least there’s always ice around the corners (at a premium 😅)

Chef’s toolbox
39 items
I enjoy cooking and especially charcoal grilling so unfortunately I can’t really do that here in NYC but luckily I got my fill of that back when I lived in the suburbs. Still everyone has a different dishes and cuisine so tools may vary. These in the list stand out to me on top of my head. I’ll keep it updated as I get back to cooking more.

MY commuting gear in NYC and products I’d avoid
21 items
If you’ve lived or visited NY you’ll know how unreliable the subway system can be. I prefer to be able to travel on my own schedule and it’s honestly pretty easy with all the new bike lanes but it can be scary at first. Unfortunately there’s so standard and the market is flooded with cheap products that barely work which I’ve had used before. I know there’s a lot of fear around electric vehicles and fires but they’re mostly caused by cheap 3rd party batteries and mishandling of the personal electric vehicles (PEVs). I’ve had multiple in my room for years and there has never been a problem other than the standard maintenance of the PEVs. Gotta remember all the ones I’ve tested so I’ll be adding to this list.

My gaming setup (plus work)
29 items
I am a gamer, grad student, and a data scientist in New York City with limited space. Here is how I make my space work for me. Still looking for ways to improve my setup so if you know anything I can do please leave a comment so I can test it out!

Work and game on the go!
23 items
I’m a big gamer and while I do have a full setup at home it doesn’t hurt to have a travel setup for those downtime when you’re on the road. I’ve gone through various iterations and gear and found one that works for me. Still looking for the best adapter to use but I’m currently using a standard anker one.

My essentials to traveling light
26 items
It’s so easy to overpack and bring so many things that won’t be used on a trip. I prefer to keep the bare minimum and be agile so you can be flexible as you travel. Of course this style isn’t for everyone and if you’re certain to be staying put in one location a few extra checked bags won’t hurt (unless the airline loses it). So I typically avoid checking bags if possible.

Action cameras & accessories

I’m a photo and video enthusiast. I also enjoy taking videos when I play volleyball from various angles to improve upon my game. I’ve bought and tested various cameras to get the best video possible.

tea and coffee time
15 items
It’s nice to set some time away to sip away at some delicious tea (and coffee too). Tea is big where my family is from so I just happened to pick up on it. Definitely recommend experimenting and brewing methods and types of tea as we all like different taste profiles. I typically stay away from most store bought tea bags as the flavor is distorted from the compressed bag and the use of lower quality parts of the tea leaves for mass production. I like the natural flavors so I tend to stick with the natural flavors and avoid the blends but I do like a good cup of Earl grey here and there 😁

These items are so useful and barely take up any space.
