Places I recommend for your bucket list. I've been to all of these at least once, and some of them multiple times. Enjoy!
I dragged my sister to the National Quilt Museum for my birthday. She wasn't too bored, LOL. I took way too many photos and I could have spent twice as long there. At least it's not too far away, so I can visit again. Seniors pay $13 as of 9/2025.
National Quilt Museum, Paducah, KY
It's been a few years, but I've been lucky enough to have visited a few of the Smithsonian museums. Most are free. The museum of American history is one of my favorites, but I like history. :)
National Museum of American History
Everyone should visit the Grand Canyon at least once in their life. I've been four times and it never ceases to amaze me.
Grand Canyon National Park (U.S. National Park Service)
I've visited multiple times and enjoy every minute. Even if you don't like country music, there's a lot of cultural history here to explore.
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum - Nashville, TN
Lots of sand. And hot. But an awesome place to see.
White Sands National Park (U.S. National Park Service)
I love art museums. Not everyone's cup of tea, of course, but I find it relaxing to see what creative minds can produce.
National Gallery of Art
If you haven't seen a saguaro cactus up close, you're missing out.
Saguaro National Park (U.S. National Park Service)
There are a lot of things to see in San Antonio, TX, but if you can only do one, make it the River Walk.

How can anyone not love a zoo? And this one is free!
National Zoo | Smithsonian Institution
This place is huge. I hope to go back one day to see all of it, LOL.
National Museum of Natural History
Another place I've visited multiple times and it's always fun.
Riverbanks Zoo - Columbia SC
Another wonderful Smithsonian museum.
National Air and Space Museum
Specifically, the changing of the guard. There are no words to describe it.
Tomb of the Unknown Soldier - Arlington National Cemetery
Take your best camera and don't approach the wildlife.
Yellowstone National Park (U.S. National Park Service)
