lighting
I love this tomato lamp. It is perfect for winding down at night, and for adding a pop of color. Plus it's super whimsical!
Mini Tomato Table Lamp
My future homes will always have smart bulbes. These are super affordable, can sync to music, and set the perfect stage for any mood. I put one in my lantern pendant lamps and it seriously elevates the vibe of my apartment. 10/10
Mood lighting - Smart LED light bulbs with app control
This is my primary bedroom lighting, and holy cow! It is crazy how much it changes the vibe of my space, as opposed to using over head lighting.
IKEA Pendant lamp shade - 27 ½ "
These are perfect for under cabinets, in closets, and for display shelves. I use these very day - they're magnetic, rechargable, and movable! I am obsessed with these.
Magnetic Motion Lights
Hanging lights from the ceiling is the new frontier! It's so easy and takes up a much smaller footprint than a floor lamp. This particular cord comes with hooks and hardware, and is super renter friendly.
Pendant Light Cord set - white 157 "
kitchen
as someone with a small kitchen, this thing is a godsend. i don't think i've made a meal without it in like 6 months! highly recommend a small one that doesn't take up valuable counterspace
Small AirFryer
when you have limited (or in my case, zero) counterspace, it can be helpful to buy some extra surface area, and i found that one with wheels and drawers was huge!!
Kitchen Cart
huge for making room when you're lacking in counter space!!
Extra Counterspace - Cutting board sink cover
these are my favorite every day cups - i use them for water, for wine, for snacks. they're so cute and are kind of the perfect size.
Mixed color glasses
furniture
i work from home and needed a desk that could both store stuff, and not take up a huge footprint. i love that i'm able to display books and plants up top, but the actual table top portion folds down super easily. definitely recommend this.
Writing Desk with Hutch Bookshelves for Home Office | Wayfair
i use this as a dresser and as a tv stand and it is so cute and perfect. it's not super wide, so even though it's decently sized, it doesn't take up so much room in my apartment
Fluted Oak Dresser/Storage
generally this recommendation is just to get your bed frames at home depot!! they are reliable, made of real wood a lot of the time, and just look so cute.
Mid-Century Castanho King Size Bed Frame
renter friendly hacks
something that i didn't consider when i looked at the apartment was the lack of shower storage, but it's kind of a big deal! these were super easy to install, are renter-friendly and still fit the aesthetic of my bathroom!
Shower Storage
adding a curtain track to my bedroom wall over the door to the room and the closet really elevates the space. it's perfect if you don't have a door, and is super easy to install.
