My five-star book recs

Purple Star emoji 17 items
Five star book ratings are different for everybody - for me, these are my hard-to-put-down, couldn't-get-enough, no-notes books! I'm not super harsh on my ratings, but I do strongly believe all of these should be on your TBR!

This one kept me guessing until the end! It's Amityville Horror-esque, and I loved the story within a story element. Riley Sager is one of my favs in this genre!

This was a doosey. It really keeps you wondering - but when you know, you know. Such a different premise than most of what I've read before. I liked this one a lot!

I had to put this series in here - it's a must. They're so intriguing and well-written, it's hard to put them down! Somehow Frieda finds a new way to surprise you in each of them. This is Book 1 of the Housemaid series.

Historical Fiction

This is a genre I love but haven't had the chance to really dive into yet. What I have read, though, I have absolutely loved!

The storytelling in this one is so good. It took a while to get to the true war story, but once you do it’s well worth it! I love her different war perspectives within her books. So good!
Winter Garden

Comedy/Romance

I usually read these as palate cleansers between thrillers when I'm in the mood for something feel-good or cutesy!

Philosophical/Fantasy Fiction

I'm not going to lie, I'm not a huge fan of this genre, so you probably won't see a whole lot here. So if you do, that's how you know it's good!
