I devour all of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s novels, this was no exception. Historical fiction, with some LGBTQ romance. this book had me crying like a baby in the best way.

this was my first Freida McFadden book and it did not disappoint! it follows a similar premise that most of the books I’ve read from her has. it has a bunch of turns and twists. this book got me to enjoy mystery books

loved!! i have been patiently waiting for the movie to come out since i’ve read this book. just when you think you’ve figured out the mystery, there’s another twist.
The Housemaid by Freida McFadden
very similar to the housemaid, but in a different setting. the main character is the same, but the family is different. you should definitely read the housemaid before picking this one up.
The Housemaid's Secret: Gripping Thriller
I love this series and haven’t been able to put it down. the ending of this novel was a little upsetting for me personally, but i am still so obsessed with her writing of this story and I cannot wait to see what the next one entails.

Perfect holiday read. the spice builds as the book goes on, which is something I very much appreciate from romance books.
edit once finished: this book kept me smiling the whole time, it was so cute and a good “Hallmark” Christmas feel
