These are all the books I read in January along with my ratings for each 🤗
This was great on an audio and so unique! The story is so heart breaking and delves into grief, trauma and the impact of generational curses. Check your trigger warnings.
From Here to the Great Unknown: Oprah's Memoir
3 ⭐️
Yellowface - By R F Kuang (hardcover) - Target
As someone who is not a fan of a time travel trope, this book is an exception. I enjoyed reading this and can easily tell why it is well loved. It gives Eleanor Oliphant and that was one of my favorite reads from 2024. I am excited to have kicked off...
The Midnight Library - By Matt Haig (hardcover) - Target
(3.5) I always love reading a memoir but I hate to say this one was not my favorite. I always feel weird rating memoirs but of course some I do enjoy more than others. I do think I would have related more to the story if I knew more of the people he ...
If You Would Have Told Me: A Memoir: Stamos, John
5 ⭐️ read. I devoured this book. There are definitely some heavy topics but it brought about a necessary peek behind the curtain to what the Franke family went through at the hands of their mother and Jodi Hilderbrand. A very important read but check...
The House Of My Mother - By Shari Franke (hardcover) - Target
I went into this with low expectations because I have heard from several people it's not the best Frieda book. It was just okay. As someone who worked in a psychiatric facility I found it to be very unrealistic from that standpoint. I will say though...
Ward D - By Freida Mcfadden (paperback) - Target
3.5 ⭐️ read. It took. me a while to get into this book but at the same time it kept me hooked. Nothing life changing but still a good read!
The House We Grew Up In: A Novel: Jewell, Lisa
This is a historical thriller about the Mountain Meadows Massacre. It took me a while to get through because it was slow and at times hard to follow but ultimately I am really glad I finished the book and that I know the story of these people.
None Left to Tell by Noelle W. Ihli
This book was so great and I did not want to put it down! I highly recommend, 10/10 from me.
The Many Lives of Mama Love: A Memoir ...
This is not a life-changing memoir by any means, but it was a fun read especially if you have watched Parks and Rec and The Office.
Welcome to Pawnee: Stories of Friendship
This is a non fiction that reads like a fiction. I had to continually remind myself that this is a true story and that Jeanette lived this life for real. It was reminiscent of Educated by Tara Westover. I do want to watch the movie to see how it comp...
The Glass Castle: A Memoir by Jeannette Walls
This is a unique story that left me curious on the rest of the series! I immediately started the second book and can't wait to continue reading. John Marrs is so good at a twisty story!
The One by John Marrs
I love a memoir and this one was no exception. I have been fascinated by the troubled teen industry for a while and Paris sharing her story about the time she was in it is very eye opening and heartbreaking. Check your trigger warnings before reading...
Paris: The Memoir - Books
This book was just okay to me. Of course it is very popular right now and I am sad I didn't like it more, but I was bored.
I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman
This was great on an audio! It had a slow start but picked up in the middle through the end and I could listen to it fast enough. A great thriller!
The Lake of Lost Girls: A Novel
3.5 stars.
I found this hard to follow with all of the POVs but I was also invested and didn’t want to DNF. One thing I love about John Marrs is his unique approach to storytelling and this book was no exception! excited to read more by him!
The Marriage Act: Dystopian Thriller Book 2
This book surprised me because I was not expecting it to be witchy? But I loved it! It was dark, twisty and unexpected!
Something in the Walls by Daisy Pearce
The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is I did get annoyed with how much the author explicitly referenced Jacob’s anxiety. Hear me out. I felt like she provided were enough without also saying “it’s my anxiety” “I know it was his anxiety” etc. b...
Yours Truly
Anything Kristin Hannah writes is so good and pure gold! The setting of this story really added an extra element to the overall premise and upped the ante in the best way!
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
I loved the “game show” premise of this book and I think it was my favorite out of the whole series. I gave it 4 stars!
The Family Experiment by John Marrs
Such a unique way to go about the “kidnapping” trope and it kept me hooked until the end! I can’t wait to read more by this author!
The Chain by Adrian McKinty
I have felt very underwhelmed by books lately, especially thrillers but this may have pulled me out of it 🤞🏼 I LOVED this story and all the layers within it so much and already wish I could read it again for the first time! So, so good!
Strange Sally Diamond
Five star read from me! I was very immersed in what the character was experiencing/ going through throughout this story. This was very well done!
One True Loves: A Novel
I love how the story was constantly twisting and folding in on itself all the way until the end! It was such a fun read!
You Are Not Alone
This book was just okay for me. I’m glad I read it just to keep with the housemaid series, but it was just fine.
The Housemaid's Wedding: A Short Story - Books
This was, dare I say it, my favorite out of the entire series! I feel like it lives in the shadows of Yours Truly, but this one to me is so much better!

Forced Proximity Kindle Case
This is such a fun case and Disney coded without being over the top (not that I care about being over the top 🤭) but i thought it was such a subtle nod to where iykyk but if not it just looks cute and fun!

Obsessed with this spooky kindly case and I’m so excited to add another fall case to my collection because surprisingly I only have one! They’re currently sold out of a few sized but if you follow her, sometimes she restocks!
