YA thriller with secret society/cult vibes, dark and twisty with catacombs at a boarding school
Fun YA whodunnit-style mystery, recommend the follow up book also
Middle Grade
Latinx mythology inspired kids adventure fantasy - had a total blast with these books!
Lovely coming of age portal fantasy adventure story
Men in Black meets Harry Potter in this fun supernatural-school middle grade fantasy series
Contemporary Fiction
Elderly main characters in a roadtrip romp with heart, full 5 stars from me
Thriller/Mystery/Crime
Amazing NZ based thriller that tackles issues of colonialism and disenfranchisement of the Maori people. As an NZer, thought it was fantastic
Fresh, genre-defying, unique and original adventure story, loved it so much
Graphic Novels
Definitely ADULT graphic novel, SO DARK but so compelling, fantastic artwork
Absolute masterpiece. Adapted from the verse novel, but I think the graphic novel is even better. Stunning, impactful.
