I love exploring Mesa, Arizona. I mostly visit fast casual restaurants and family friendly entertainment locations.

The nachos on the appetizer menu are amazing - I always add machaca (shredded beef).
Serrano's Mexican Food Restaurants
Best thin crust pizza around. Always add a fountain cream soda to your order.
Venezia's Pizza
Bring a picnic (maybe Venezias Pizza!) lunch and run down the sidewalk “runway” to watch planes to take off. Hang out on the airplane sculptures and look thru the binoculars for an afternoon to remember.
Falcon Field Airport
Park across the street in the free lot and take your picture outside with the many dinosaur statues. This museum provides lots of interactive spaces that make it fun for kids and adults alike.
Arizona Museum of Natural History
The quesadillas are were it’s at. Sooo good!
Backyard Taco - Mesa North
The pollo is amazing. Get some tacos and a gigantic Dr Pepper.
Picante Grill
The splash pad is gated! If you need to not worry about your kids running off this is your place. The gates blend into the rest of the fence so even you may circle the gate a couple times looking for a way out. Lots of room to sit while you watch you...
Riverview Park
Great deals during the day! Fun for little kids and older kids. There is a hang out room in the back if your kids are independent and you need to catch up on work.
UPTOWN JUNGLE FUN PARK | Mesa, AZ
Kids room is a great free place to hang out on a hot day. Everyone who works here is friendly and bathrooms are clean.
Mesa Arizona Temple Visitors' Center
Spend a hot day walking around Bass Pro looking at the animals (alive and not). If you time your visit right you can even watch a fish feeding. Christmas events are fun with toys to test and Santa to visit.
Bass Pro Shops
Water slides for littles and bigs! We love the zero depth walk in pool and fun play station. Bring your own snacks or cash for the vending machines and stay for a while.
Stapley Aquatic Complex
Dinner and a show! My kids all love it! You can even submit your requests (pokemon theme song and the chicken dance - I see you!). Pizza is fair but the show will make you want to come back again and again.
Organ Stop Pizza
The most delicious frozen yogurt ever. We love it.
Twisterz Frozen Dessert
Older kids love the space to explore, think, and create. Younger kids love the soft play area
idea Museum
Great pizza and they have a kids play area. You can sit in a comfy padded booth to eat your pie and the kids can sit at a smaller table and watch cartoons.
Barro's Pizza
Wheelchair friendly SHADED park located close to the library and bathrooms! Ramps are incorporated throughout most of the playground structure. Be aware though if you have a runner that there is a lake nearby and the park is not gated.
Dobson Ranch Park
So many different colors of roses! A beautiful spot to stop and take pictures.
The Rose Garden At MCC
I always get a Pizza Boat Meal Day on white and my husband gets a Poor Boy on wheat - toasted. The food is just good. We love a good hole in the wall, local restaurant that’s clean.
Krazy Sub
Hole in the wall burgers that taste amazing!
Giant Hamburgers
Bring cash and know you don’t need ketchup with your fries. We like to eat on the patio but the drive thru is an option if you want to take your food to go.
Pete's Fish & Chips
Spring training by games are so much fun! You are almost guaranteed to have beautiful weather so wear a hat and some sunscreen.
Sloan Park

3) fun splash pad for li...
Rhodes Aquatic Complex & FlowRider
This is a hidden gem of a park with a fun little botanical garden with so many different types of cacti. It’s usually not crowded and can be a good place to get desert themed pictures. There is also a park for the littles.
Park of Canals
Lots of fun restaurants like Gus’, Tacos Chiwas, and Mango’s. There are lots of little free lots behind the main strip if you don’t find parking on Main.
