Cat harness and leash. This is the only one I've tried so car that seems to work well with both my cats, and it's affordable! One of my cats walks with this all the time, and the other I'm working on training now. There's a purple from target as well, but was too big at least on my cats.

I place a small towel on the bottom to help make it a little more comfy. This is just the only thing I've tried, but overall it's worked well for my cats who are about 9lb... Mim goes on walks with me, and I know she doesn't love the crate, but over time doesn't cry on our 10min car rides anymore! I'll take the win!
