Bottled water or gallon is recommended. I recommend spring water so the minerals are intact. Store in a cool, dark place so the plastic doesn't break down.

These are like water tablets except it's a powder. This purifies dirty water and makes it safe for drinking.

Make sure to get travel sizes of toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, facial cleanser, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner.
I made my own kit, but this is convenient to buy if you don't want to. My kit includes everything available in this kit of my personal liking.

Wet food has a shelf life of about 3 years and is a better option for emergency storage. This is the brand my dog eats.
