On-Leash Walks We Love

Sometimes we stick to the leash, but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring! These spots are peaceful, scenic, and great for a relaxed walk or a weekday reset.

It might seem weird, but it's a beautiful place to walk! Quiet, spacious, and full of trees. There are many cemeteries in Colma, and this is one of the few that allows dogs, so please be respectful if you come!

On weekends, the empty office park becomes our urban adventure spot, with waterfront views and clean sidewalks. Start behind building 56 and walk on the bike path to building 50 and then out to the Bay Trail! Or just wander through the Genentech camp...

Hear me out - Not glamorous, but when it’s raining, a multi-level parking garage gives us a dry walk and a change of pace. Health Plan of San Mateo has a big parking structure that is empty on weekends!

Off-Leash Adventures

When my dog needs to run wild (and I want to soak up the views), these off-leash spots are our go-to playgrounds.

When we’re craving something a little quieter—or just want the whole place to ourselves—these paid Sniffspot spots are such a treat. Totally worth it for a stress-free off-leash experience (especially for reactive or nervous pups!)
