I've read 33 books so far this year (including 8 from my list of 26 to read in 26!) - here's a brief recap of each one, grouped in order of how much I enjoyed them.

5-star reads across genres that have stuck with me. Some recent reads and some lifelong favorites.

Of the 64 books I read in 2025, here are the ones I would recommend along with my top favorites

With a TBR of over 300 books, this was hard to narrow down - but here are the 26 that I'm most excited to read this year. I aimed for a spread across my favorite genres: literary fiction, memoirs, sociology and politics. Many of the literary fiction and works in translation on the list are based on recommendations from my favorite "bookfluencers", which I'll have mentioned.

Stories about women abandoning society's expectations of them (motherhood, thinness, beauty) and finding freedom in other, often bizarre, places.

Memoirs are one of my favorite genres - I have read dozens but these are the ones I enjoyed most!
