My first cable tray was flimsy and fell off after two weeks, taking a power strip with it. These are the ones that stayed put and fit real-world cable loads, not just the three wires they show in product photos.

The tray hides what's under the desk, but the run from desk to outlet was still visible and ugly. These covered that last stretch so the whole path from plug to device is invisible.

Every clip I tried for the first year would pop off the desk after a week. These actually survived summer heat, winter cold, and me accidentally kicking cables. Not one has fallen.

Hiding the power strip was the hardest part. It's bulky, it's ugly, and every cable leads to it. These boxes swallowed the whole thing and made it look like furniture instead of an electrical hazard.

Zip ties seemed smart until I needed to swap a cable and had to cut five of them. Velcro ties changed everything because I rearrange my setup constantly and nothing is permanent.

Once the desk area was clean, the cables running down the wall to the outlet were still screaming for attention. Raceways turned those visible runs into something that looks like trim molding.

The last detail was how cables enter and exit the desk surface. Without grommets, there's always that awkward gap where wires drape over the edge. These made every transition point look intentional.
