Foundations
Foundations/skin tints that have worked well for my skin, based on the coverage, weight of the product, and oil control.
For reference, I do struggle with enlarged pores and hyperpigmentation/discoloration.
I wear makeup for about 12 hours a day, a...
The finish looks silky and shiny, and a lot like actual skin. It's not full coverage though, so it won't fully cover blemishes or acne. But, it still covers mine good enough that people don't notice.
It's long-lasting and very, very comfortable on t...
Maybelline - Super Stay 24-HR Skin Tint - $17.99
This is the foundation I've used for the longest time. It's been my one and only main recommendation for two years, the coverage is beautiful, smooth, and buildable. It doesn't do much to affect the oiliness of my skin, and it's lasted me well over a...
Milani - Conceal + Perfect 2-In-1 Foundation and Concealer - $12.99
This foundation is my current favorite. I'm pretty pale, and I hate the way make-up looks when it's orangey. This foundation does a PERFECT job of keeping my face pale, but not too pale. It has amazing coverage and covers all of my acne blemishes, re...
L.A. COLORS - Truly Matte Foundation - $3.97
Very full-coverage and buildable for being a skin tint; kind of looks more like a foundation, but still feels super lightweight.
I've worn this a couple of times, specifically when I go to Six Flags for 8 hours in 95° weather. Let me just say, it st...
Perfect for dry skin/people who don't use much makeup. My aunt uses this on her skin, which has enlarged pores, texture, and eye bags, and she's told me that this foundation is probably the best drugstore powder foundation she's ever tried.
Maybelline - Super Stay® 24Hr Powder-Foundation - $15.99
Concealers
Concealers that have worked well for me.
I have skin that's prone to creasing, with enlarged pores under my eyes, cheeks, and nose. I also have dark purple under-eye bags.
This product gives me amazing coverage. My dark under-eyes, are sunken into my skin & purple, but this concealer covers them up SO good!!! Even when I'm in a pinch and have to rush my makeup, it's like an eraser for my blemishes!
It doesn't crea...
Maybelline - Fit Me® Liquid Concealer - $10.99
This is my go-to every-day full coverage concealer. It hides my eye-bags and blemishes so good, that when I'm not wearing makeup people think I'm super sick. It covers everything it needs to, has a large applicator (which personally, I love), has an ...
Rimmel - Multi-Tasker Concealer - $5.97
This has been one of my favorite concealers for years now. It's full-coverage, cheap, doesn't crease, AND it has an insanely good shade-range, especially for $5.
One bottle has lasted me about 4-5 months, and it's easy to buy multiple in case you ne...
Wet n Wild - Incognito Full Coverage Concealer - $4.89
This is pricey, but I only re-purchase during sales.
It has a nice, big applicator, medium to full coverage finish, and a decent shade range.
I'd only recommend this one if you have money to throw around, if not, just go for the Rimmel one.
Powders that have helped my naturally oily skin to stay matte
This pressed powder is genuinely AMAZING. I have fine lines and my concealer can crease incredibly easy, but this prevents it so well! It doesn't leave a weird texture on my under eyes either. It looks smooth
Maybelline - Fit Me® Matte + Poreless Powder - $12
This powder is some of the best powder I've ever put on my face. It greatly reduces shine & oil, especially in the T-zone. It comes with an insane amount of product, it's also a huge container. It usually lasts me around 3-4 months.
Maybelline - Fit Me® Loose Finishing Powder - $8.99
Makes face completely matte, provides a decently smooth under-eye, good for baking, cheap.
Revolution - Loose Setting Powder - $8
Good for other areas besides under-eye, full coverage, shade range, good amount of product, works well, long lasting
The BEST setting spray I've ever used in my entire life. Locked in my makeup for about 10-11 hours during hoco, everything stayed in place!!!
Morphe - Continuous Setting Mist - $18
Has 3 different options to choose from, refreshes make-up, melts products together, cheap, a good alternative to expensive setting sprays you see online.
ELF - Makeup Setting Spray and Facial Mist - $11
Primers
Does an amazing job at minimizing my pores, keeps makeup smooth on my forehead, cheeks, and chin (spots w/ the most texture for me).
Has a really nice, smooth texture that feels comfortable to rub into skin.
AOA Studio – Pore Filling Primer - $1.88
Such an amazing primer if you really need your makeup to STICK to your face. When I use this, none of my makeup melts or rubs off, it stays in place, it literally locks my entire base in.
NYX - Face Glue Gripping Makeup Primer - $9
Blurs pores, multiple different types, more of a solid texture, pairs well with other Maybelline base products.
Maybelline - Facestudio Master Prime - $13
Completely solid texture, smooths skin, has 4 options to choose from, good for acne-prone skin
e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Face Primer - $11
Brows
Definitely my favorite brow product. I use this to tweeze my eyebrows down to look thinner, and it stays perfectly still ALL DAY LONG!
Just make sure to press down on it when it's drying to keep it stuck.
