Palermo / Discover the Magic of Sicily's Capital
I recently travelled to Palermo in December of 2025 and spent five glorious days exploring the city. The most conquered city in history, ruled by Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, Spanish, and more, the city lives in harmony with the marks they left. Palermo is chaotic and magnetic with a mix of styles, flavours, and smiles. It doesnβt try to be perfect, and thatβs what makes it so unique! I highly recommend spending at least three days here to really take in beautiful Palermo. There is so much to see and do! I was fortunate to have an amazing experience and was delighted by the warmth of the Sicilian people! They are what make Palermo so special, so don't be afraid to mix and mingle and show your curiosity! Be sure to come prepared with a few Sicilian or Italian phrases to show respect. Here's a list of the best places to stay (IMO), sights to see, and most importantly, what to eat.
