Ways to reduce pain
It’s so easy to bury your head in the sand when you’re in pain but the number 1 that helped thing was a routine with medication. Set alarms, organise tablets into when you need them and be regular and strategic.
Medication Routine
One of the main causes of pain is when your throat drys out. This happens most when you’re sleeping so using a mouth tape can help prevent that. Just make sure you’re safe and using a breathable tape designed for sleep

The number one soothing thing for me was warm plain water. I drank as much as I could manage to help soothe and keep my throat clean
Drinking warm (not hot) water
This might seem obvious but sucking ice (if you can) is a great way to keep your throat hydrated and numb the sores

Not only helps to reduce the swallowing pain but gargling kinda of helped too. Maybe it was placebo but it worked haha
Dissolvable Pain Killers
Water is so important during any recovery. Personally, I would opt for straw less as I really struggled to suck and use a straw for the first week

If you’re like me and forget what time you took your painkillers. This, and alarms on your phone every 4 hours is the answer to staying on top of them.
