Extremely light (can be fitted in it's own pocket) and keeps you warm even in negative temperatures. I use it for skiing in very cold temperatures in the Swiss Alps and I have never been cold.

I would highly recommend having a merino base layer (you can also just get a merino t-shirt). It keeps you warm and dry all day. And:avoid cotton at all costs( doesn't dry and wet=cold=danger in the mountains)
