As a girl with 20 BABY FINE hairs on my head, these are the products I swear by to give the illusion I have more hair, and to keep it as healthy as possible in the process.

Dry shampoos (literally a must)
Dry shampoo is a non-negotiable for my hair. It looks greasy within 6 hours of washing, and gets super flat. This will prevent all of that while providing extra texture.
Classic. It works.
Batiste Dry Shampoo
When I’m not using Batiste, I’m using this. It works just as well, smells a little better, just tends to be a bit pricier.
Dry Shampoo
Also a must. The little powder puff is PERFECT for hitting your bangs and roots. No white cast, no scent, and SUPER fine powder!
Tap Secret - Mattifying Dry Shampoo Powder (7 colors)
Shampoo 🧴
Shampoo is honestly a make or break when it comes to the integrity of your hair. For thin hair, it’s important to find something that will genuinely clean your hair and not weigh it down.
I have been using this for years, and it genuinely helps my hair to feel cleaner, and never leaves behind a residue. It’s not magic, but it’s good.
Fine Hair Shampoo
I use this when I feel like my scalp needs a good deep clean, without drying out my hair. It’s cheap and effective.
Fructis Silicone-Free Purifying Pure Clean Shampoo
I genuinely love this shampoo so much. It leaves my hair super clean, but not dry. My scalp just feels so much better with this shampoo, I find that I don’t have to use AS much dry shampoo on day two!
Dr.FORHAIR Folligen Silk Shampoo Korean
Conditioner (DO NOT put this on your roots I stg)
I have only included deep/bonding conditioners here, because that’s all I use. My hair breaks and splits SO easily that I need the reinforcement!
THIS 👏🏻 IS 👏🏻 MAGIC. Obviously avoid your roots at all costs girl, BUT on your ends?? This makes my hair SO soft, so smooth, and SO manageable. It truly does FEEL like it’s helping reverse damage. I love it so much 😭
Repair Bond +Rescuplex™ Hydrating Mask - Marc Anthony
This is new for me, because my CVS stopped carrying Marc Anthony (💔) and this is what I went with instead. Have used three times total, but I do really like it. Doesn’t weigh my hair down, and definitely makes it feel smooth and manageable!
EverPure Sulfate Free Bond Repair Conditioner with Citric Acid
Styling 🧖🏻♀️
This is where you’re going to see actual results. The products and tools you use will determine the actual appearance of your hair. These are my favorite!
*UPDATE* be ready to replace this yearly if you don’t take good care of it.. the bristles get bent easily and the little tips come off! > This has upped my hair game for sure. I used to use a blow dryer/round brush combo, but this does all the work for me.
Salon One-Step™ Hair Dryer and Volumizer
This is my favorite brush. Gentle, and has the least amount of space for oil/product build up!
Wet Brush Pro Flex Dry (BWP800FXBK) Black
A wide tooth comb is another non-negotiable item for thin hair, ESPECIALLY when your hair is wet. NO brush or comb should touch your hair when wet other than a wide tooth comb.
Wide Tooth Combs
A round brush is a MUST if you are just using a regular blow dryer. An ideal round brush for thin and fine hair is one with sparse regular bristles, and boar bristles in between. Sparse plastic bristles will help prevent breakage while detangling, an...
Round Brush
I don’t use this currently, but I have used it for years in the past and do really enjoy it. It helps build volume and thickness, without being sticky.
Full | Thickening Blow-Dry Cream
I swear I thought this was over-hyped for SO LONG until I tried it. It is SO weightless, and genuinely makes my hair so soft and shiny, which is NOT common for my hair.
OLAPLEX Nº.7 Bonding Oil
This stuff is great! I am currently using this one over the Living Proof one, and I do like it better. I don’t know if it really helps with volume, but it definitely does help my hair feel thicker, and protects against heat in the process.
Big Blowout Heat Protecting Jelly for Volume
I use this specifically when I curl my hair. I use it instead of a hair spray, and it gives great texture and hold without feeling sticky or stiff! Adds volume too.
Working Texture Spray
I KNOW I KNOW, people have a lot of opinions about Dream Coat, but I LOVE it when my hair is damaged. It literally makes your hair look SO healthy. Yeah, I know it’s because it’s coating your hair.. but.. sometimes we need that okay?
Dream Coat Supernatural Spray | The #1 Anti-Frizz Treatment
I use this in my roots and mids for blow drying. I don’t notice crazy results, but I do think it adds a lil something-something in terms of volume/thickness.
Xtra Large Bombshell Volumizer | Best Hair Volumizer for Lift
You will NOT catch me putting a standard hair tie in my hair. It’s this or nothing. They are so easy to remove, do not catch on my fine hair, and actually hold my hair!!!
invisibobble Original Traceless Spiral Hair Ties
These small octopus clips work very well for my hair. If you also only have 17 hairs on your head, you’ll know a standard claw clip is NOT an option for us. These are the perfect size to actually hold your 32 hairs without slipping out!
