Bars & Grip Essentials
These are supportive bar grips made specifically for uneven bars. The buckle closure feels secure, and the leather becomes more comfortable as the grips are broken in. Make sure your coach helps you select and size your grips correctly because every ...
Reisport USA - #1 Gymnastics Grips
DRYbands are my favorite wristbands to wear underneath my grips. They help protect my wrists without feeling overly bulky, stay comfortable during long bar practices, and come in cute colors. I definitely prefer these over ordinary sweatbands.

You don’t have to spend much on pre-wrap because Amazon sells inexpensive multipacks in several colors. I keep it in my gymnastics bag for coach-approved taping and as a protective layer underneath athletic tape.
AYNAUHX 6 Pack Multi Color Hair Pre Wrap
This multipack is much cheaper than purchasing individual rolls repeatedly. It tears easily by hand and is convenient to keep in my bag, but I only tape injuries or joints the way my coach or athletic trainer has shown me.
White Athletic Tape
A grip bag keeps my grips, DRYbands, tape, and pre-wrap together instead of scattered around my gymnastics bag. It makes packing for practice and meets much easier.

My Owala is perfect for long gymnastics practices because it keeps my water cold and the built-in straw makes it easy to drink between turns. The lid also covers the mouthpiece, which helps keep it clean inside my gym bag.

Nike Pro shorts are comfortable for conditioning, warmups, or wearing over my leotard before practice. They’re fitted, stretchy, and don’t feel bulky while I’m tumbling or working skills.

GK Elite makes some of my favorite practice leotards because they’re comfortable, secure, and available in so many cute designs. A good practice leotard should move with you without becoming a distraction.

This backpack has enough room for my grips, water bottle, extra clothes, hair products, tape, and other gymnastics necessities. The separate compartments help keep everything organized instead of having one giant messy section.

Meet-Day Hair Essentials
This gel is one of my favorite products for creating a sleek gymnastics ponytail or bun. It has a very strong hold and helps keep my flyaways under control through warmups and competition.
göt2b Ultra Glued Styling Gel
I use this as the finishing step when I need my competition hairstyle to stay secure. It gives my hair extra hold and helps stop the smaller pieces around my hairline from falling out.
göt2b Glued Blasting Freeze Hairspray
Strong hair ties are essential for gymnastics because an ordinary elastic can snap or slide out during practice. I always keep several extras in my gym bag in case I lose or break one.
Scunci No Damage Elastic Hair Ties
A hair net and plenty of pins help keep my competition bun looking neat and secure. Buying them as a set is convenient because it gives me backups for meets and travel.

Conditioning & Recovery Essentials
Resistance bands are useful for coach-approved warmups, activation exercises, conditioning, and physical-therapy exercises. The different resistance levels make it easy to increase or decrease the difficulty.
THERABAND
I like using a foam roller after a long practice when my muscles feel tight. This one is firm, durable, and compact enough to bring when traveling for meets. I avoid rolling over an injury or an area that feels sharply painful.
A massage ball is useful for reaching smaller, targeted areas that can be difficult to roll with a full-size foam roller. It’s also small enough to keep in my gym or travel bag.

Reusable ice packs are convenient to have after practice for minor soreness or bumps. Flexible packs are easier to position than completely rigid ones, but an ice pack isn’t a substitute for getting an injury evaluated.
