Central Park is right outside your door. I liked it, but it's pricey because of the location. On this particular trip we were spending time in Upper manhattan, Central Park and Harlem, so this location made sense at the time. I just think you can get... more bang fr your buck elsewhere. It has a very classic, old-school feel.

Right in the heart of Times Square and many theaters. When I go to NYC with my friend, we go to Broadway shows and do all of the “tourist stuff” together. Staying at a Hampton is super affordable. They are always clean and orderly; just not fancy. Th... money.  Down the street is Joes Pizza for a slice when you're in a hurry. I recommend this if you are budget-conscious.
Hampton Inn Times Square Central

Another Hampton Inn that I stayed at with my “theater friend.” This one is on a quieter street than the Times Square Hampton we stayed at. Same concept though -  clean room, free and hot breakfast, a small and efficient lobby. Nearby was some shopping, with stores such as the Gap. We flew in, took the Airtrain to Grand Central and then walked here. Solid choice if you're on a budget.
