I tried Mommy Sann, one of those cute dessert spots in Karawang. I ordered through Shopeefood, which was pretty convenient, especially for cakes that need to stay chilled.
I tried their J.MIMO Japanese Cheesecake (around IDR 35k), which is soft, fluffy, and has a light cheesy flavor. The Lotus Biscoff Milk Bath (around IDR 40K) is a good choice if you’re into Biscoff, while the Toblerone Premium Slice (around IDR 45K) ...
I’d also recommend checking out the Milk Bath Cheese, Chizu Cake, Strudel Choco Banana, and Pisang Bolen Mix if you want to try something different.

I was craving that simple, savory, hotel style fried rice, so I finally decided to give Nasi Goreng Chef Cun-Cun a try.
I went with their best selling Nasi Goreng Kampung, and and I really liked it. The rice is really fragrant, the seasoning is flavorful without being too heavy, and the texture is just right not too dry, not too oily. They’re also pretty generous with...
I’d also recommend checking GoFood, GrabFood, or ShopeeFood before ordering. There are often discounts, vouchers, or delivery promos that can make your order even cheaper.
Nasi Goreng Chef Cun-Cun is definitely worth trying

As a steak lover on a budget, I finally gave Famous Steak Karawang a try. It’s located at Ruko Emporium Galuh Mas and is known for its affordable hotplate steaks. The place is pretty casual, so it works well for a simple meal with friends or family.
I tried the Chicken Double Steak (Crispy) and the Tenderloin Steak. The Chicken Double Steak comes with two pieces of crispy chicken, barbecue sauce, mixed vegetables, and fries. The chicken was still tender inside, and I liked that the coating wasn’...
Prices are pretty reasonable, with most dishes around IDR 25.000 – 50.000. The Chicken Double Steak is around IDR 35.000, while the Tenderloin Steak is around IDR 55.000.
If you’re ordering for delivery, I’d recommend checking GoFood, GrabFood, or ShopeeFood first. They often have discounts or combo deals, and it can be more convenient if you don’t feel like going out. The Galuh Mas area can get quite busy around dinn...

If you’re looking for something refreshing in Karawang, Hayang Jus is worth checking out. They have quite a few options, from fresh fruit juices and juice mixes to fruit soup, avocado kocok, and different toppings.
One thing I’d recommend trying is the Sop buah kaldu alpukat. It comes with fresh fruit and a avocado juice based broth, so it tastes more fruity rather than just sweet. If you’re an avocado fan, the Alpukat Kocok Keju is another good option, with to...
Some juices start at around IDR 12K–15K, while other options are generally around IDR 15K–25K, depending on what you choose.
If you’re in Karawang and craving something cold, fresh, and affordable, Hayang Jus is a nice one to keep on your list

If you’re craving a generous plate of duck without spending too much, Bebek Surati is worth checking out. They have quite a few options besides duck too, including chicken, grilled ribs, fish, and some simple side dishes.
The one I’d go for is the Japanese Grilled Jumbo Duck with Rice. The duck portion is pretty big and the meat is tender, with a savory flavor and a slightly sweet glaze. If you prefer fried duck, the Jumbo Fried Duck with Rice is another option. And i...
Starts at around IDR 21K, with the Jumbo Duck around IDR 35K, Japanese Grilled Duck around IDR 31K, and Grilled Ribs around IDR 33K

If you’re craving simple but flavorful East Javanese food in Karawang, Pecel Madiun Galuh Mas is worth checking out.
Their main dish is, of course, Nasi Pecel, but there are plenty of other options if you’re in the mood for something different. I’d start with the Nasi Pecel, which comes with vegetables, spicy peanut sauce, and crispy peyek. The peanut sauce is savo...

If you’re in the mood for something sweet and fried, Pisang Goreng Madu Baba Ezel is a nice little snack spot to check out in Karawang.
The banana gets nicely caramelized and crispy on the outside while staying soft inside. Definitely best enjoyed while it’s still warm. Besides the honey fried banana, they also have Fried Jackfruit and Fried Fermented Cassava, so you can mix things u...
The price is pretty affordable too. You can get the fried bananas for around IDR 15k - 25k.

If you’re around Telukjambe and craving a cold, sweet dessert, Es Pisang Ijo D’Barra is a little spot worth checking out.
It’s located in the Sirnabaya Indah residential area, making it a convenient option for a casual sweet treat.
Their main specialty is Es Pisang Ijo, a traditional Indonesian dessert made with banana wrapped in a soft green coating, served with a sweet sauce and ice. It’s creamy, sweet, and especially nice on a hot afternoon.
It’s a simple kind of dessert, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need after a meal or when you’re just craving something cold and sweet

If you’re tired of having the same old noodles, Mie Aceh Pak Ismail is a good place to try something with a little more character. Their specialty is Mie Aceh, available in fried, stir fried, or soupy versions, with options such as chicken and seafoo...
I’d start with the Fried Mie Aceh if you enjoy savory noodles with bold spices. The noodles have a nice mix of seasoning and that distinctive aroma you’d expect from Acehnese cooking.
If you prefer something warm and soupy, the Mie Aceh Kuah is a better pick, with a richer and more comforting broth. They also have Acehnese fried rice, kwetiau, seafood dishes, and fried snacks, so there are plenty of alternatives if you’re eating w...
For the latest prices, I’d recommend checking Shopeefood directly since prices and promotions can change. Overall, this is a nice option if you enjoy food that’s savory, heavily seasoned, and has a bit of heat

The name “Maknyuuss” definitely sets the expectation, but what caught my attention here is the simple selection of chicken, duck, and spicy sambal dishes. It’s the kind of place that focuses more on a satisfying meal than anything fancy.
I’d probably start with the Grilled Chicken or Crispy Chicken. The chicken is known for being tender and savory, while the crispy topping adds a nice texture with rice. If you enjoy spicy food, the Chicken with Sambal Bawang is worth trying the samba...
There’s also Duck with Green Sambal and Crispy Quail with Rice if you want something other than chicken.
Most of the dishes are still under IDR 30K, depending on what you order.

If you’re stopping by Dots Greentea, here are a few menu picks I’d recommend.
Greentea Latte, Creamy and sweet with a noticeable green tea flavor. A good choice for a first try.
Greentea Latte Whipped Cream, a creamier version topped with whipped cream, perfect if you like richer drinks.
Ketan Susu , Soft, chewy sticky rice with milk and toppings like cheese, Chocomaltine, and chocolate cheese. Sweet, comforting, and surprisingly filling.
Iced Milk Coffee. a simple combination of coffee and milk with a balanced sweetness. A good alternative if you’re not into green tea.
Banana Nugget , crispy banana nuggets with toppings like green tea, Oreo, tiramisu, or cheese. Sweet and easy to share.
They also have other affordable food options, so it works for more than just coffee and snack you can easily grab a light meal here too

If you’re into grilled chicken with a sweet savory glaze and a proper spicy kick, Ayam Bakar Madu Hj. Rosita is one to keep on your Karawang food list.
I’d start with the Ayam Bakar Special Madu. The chicken is grilled with their honey seasoning, giving it a nice balance of sweetness and savory flavor, with the seasoning soaking into the meat.
Want something with more heat? The Ayam Bakar Pedas Madu adds a spicy kick to the sweet honey glaze. And for serious spice lovers, there’s the Ayam Bakar Jeletot Super Pedas.
Honestly, sweet grilled chicken, spicy sambal, and warm rice is a pretty hard combination to say no to

If you’re the kind of person who loves loading up your seblak with toppings, Seblak Bandung Slowdown is definitely worth trying.
It’s served buffet style, so you get to choose your own toppings and take as much as you want with no topping limit. 🤤
You can mix and match things like crackers, seafood, meatballs, sausages, vegetables, and other toppings to build your own bowl. Keep it simple or go all out it’s completely up to you.
You can also choose your preferred spice level, which is great if you enjoy the flavor of seblak but don’t want to challenge yourself with extreme heat.
The broth is savory with that signature kencur aroma, while your choice of toppings gives every bowl a different combination of flavors and textures.
Honestly, the fun part is picking my toppings. Take your time, check out all the options, and build a bowl exactly the way you like it.
It’s also a fun spot to visit with friends since everyone can create their own bowl with different toppings and spice levels

If you’re hungry but still trying to keep your food budget under control, Sego Pedes Basman SUPER in Galuhmas is a pretty easy choice. The prices are affordable, but you still get plenty of options and a filling meal.
I’d start with the Sego Ayam, which comes with rice, chicken, sambal, and fresh vegetables. You can also switch things up with fried catfish, pomfret/mujair, or smoked fish, with prices around IDR 15.5K–16.5K. The
fun part is that you can add extra sides depending on how hungry you are. There’s omelette, tofu, tempe, chicken skin, intestine skewers, and fried shrimp. So if one piece of chicken isn’t going to cut it, just add a few more sides.
Coming with friends or family? The Basman Super packages are also worth checking out, starting at around IDR 26.5K with combinations of chicken, egg, tofu, tempe, eggplant, and skewers

If you’re visiting Indonesia and want to try authentic Padang food, I’d definitely add RM Sederhana Muda to your list.
My top recommendation is the beef rendang, tender beef cooked in a rich, fragrant blend of spices. The grilled chicken is also worth trying if you enjoy smoky and savory flavors.
For the full Padang experience, have it with steamed rice, jackfruit curry, cassava leaves, and sambal on the side.
If it’s your first time trying Padang cuisine, I’d go for the rendang with rice and assorted sides. It’s a great way to get a taste of several Indonesian flavors in one meal.

when I’m in the mood for something healthier , my first pick would be the Chicken Salad. The vegetables are fresh and crunchy, while the chicken adds enough savory flavor to make it feel like a proper meal, not just a bowl of greens.
If I want something more filling, the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo is a good option, while the Shirataki Fried Noodles are nice when I’m craving noodles but want something a little lighter.
There’s actually quite a variety here, from Sandwiches, Chocolate Oats, Strawberry Oats, Baked Potato Cheese, Chicken with Black Pepper Sauce, Honey Garlic Chicken, Chicken Satay, Japanese Chicken Curry, and Fruit Salad. For drinks, I’d go for the Oa...

If you’re in Bogor and want to try Manado cuisine, Dapur Mace is worth adding to your list.

For something bolder, try the Ayam Woku, a fragrant and spicy chicken dish packed with aromatic Manado spices, especially good with steamed rice. Cakalang Rabe is another great choice if you enjoy stronger fish flavors, while Perkedel Jagung and Pana...

What I like most about this place is its selection of comforting Sundanese dishes that feel very home-style.
I’d recommend the Nasi Timbel Komplit warm rice served with savory, tender chicken, tofu, tempeh, fresh vegetables, sayur asem, and sambal. The sambal has a nice kick, while the tangy sayur asem adds a refreshing contrast to the savory dishes.
If you’re dining with friends or family, there are plenty of dishes to share, including Nasi Tutug Oncom, Nasi Bakar, Karedok, various pepes, and other Sundanese specialties. And if the restaurant is crowded or you don’t feel like waiting, you can al...

I stumbled upon this bakery while in Bogor and noticed they sell Roti Unyil, the city’s popular bite-sized rolls, so I had to try a few.
My favorite was Jagung, filled with sweet corn and milk inside a soft, fluffy roll. It has a nice sweet and savory taste and is surprisingly easy to keep reaching for another.
Coklat Keju is another one I liked, especially if you enjoy chocolate with a hint of salty cheese.
Since each roll is small, getting a box with different flavors is the way to go. They’re also a great food souvenir from Bogor if you want to bring something local home.
And if you don’t want to head out or deal with a queue, you can order them online too.

My top pick at Soto Mie Mang Ohim is definitely the Soto Mie. The broth is savory and refreshing, with yellow noodles, rice vermicelli, beef, beef tendon, cabbage, tomatoes, and a crispy risol on top.
The risol is what makes it special for me. It starts out crunchy and savory, then soaks up the hot broth and becomes wonderfully soft. Add sambal and a squeeze of lime for a fresher, spicier kick.
For something refreshing afterward, try the Es Oyen, a sweet iced dessert with avocado, jackfruit, and tapioca pearls.
They also serve Soto Bening, Soto Santan, Soto Ayam Santan, and Sop Iga. If I had to pick just one combo, I’d go for the soto mie with an extra risol and an Es Oyen

If you’re in Bogor, one of the things I’d personally recommend at Macaroni Panggang is their Lasagna Gulung.
It’s soft and creamy, with a rich, savory combination of sauce and cheese, while the top gets nicely baked and cheesy. I especially like it served warm, when the cheese is still melted and every bite has that comforting mix of savory, creamy, and sli...
There are also plenty of other things worth trying, including Macaroni Panggang, Macaroni Schotel, Baked Spaghetti, and a selection of pastries.
If you’re coming with friends or family, I’d go for a few different dishes to share since each one has its own flavor and texture.
Another nice thing is that some of their dishes also work well as food souvenirs from Bogor. If you’re not planning to eat them right away, you can keep them refrigerated to make them last longer. When you’re ready to eat, just warm them up again and...
For the latest prices, I’d recommend checking the current marketplace listings, as prices and menu options can change.

My top pick at Pia Apple Pie is, of course, the Apple Pie.
The crust is buttery and crisp, while the apple filling has a nice balance of sweetness and a little tartness, with a warm cinnamon aroma that makes it even more tempting. I like it best when it’s slightly warm, especially with those crispier edges.
If you’re not into very sweet desserts, I’d go for the Chicken Pie or Beef Quiche instead they’re more savory and make a nice change from the sweet pies. There are also options like Apple Crumble, Strawberry Pie, Hazelnut Pie, and other snacks. It’s ...

One snack I’d definitely try in Bogor is Rissoles Mayonnaise at Botani Square. They’re crispy and savory on the outside, with a creamy, generous filling inside. My favorite was Shrimp Cheese. savory shrimp with creamy, slightly melty cheese.
The classic Mayonnaise was really good too, especially with the smoked beef, egg, cheese, and mayo filling.
There are also flavors like Mayo Lava, Italian, Chicken Ragout, Macaroni Cheese, and Beef Sausage. They’re pretty small, so I’d go for a few different flavors rather than just picking one.

One simple snack I’d definitely try while in Bogor is Ubi Madu Cilembu. I really like Cilembu sweet potatoes when they’re roasted until the inside turns soft and naturally syrupy, sweet, sticky, and slightly caramelized around the edges.
They’re honestly good enough on their own, especially when still warm. They sell roasted Cilembu sweet potatoes in different sizes, so you can grab some for a snack or take a few home.
I think they also make a nice local food souvenir if you want something simple and very Indonesian

My favorite is the Lupis Original. soft, chewy sticky rice topped with grated coconut and a generous drizzle of sweet palm sugar syrup. It’s simple, but the sweet and slightly salty combination is seriously addictive.
The Lupis Serundeng is also worth trying if you prefer something more savory with a little sweetness and spice.
They also have Cenil, Sawut, Tiwul, Putu Mayang, Bubur Srintil, as well as modern versions topped with Milo, Matcha, and cheese.
I also like that the lupis comes in traditional woven boxes, and they even offer ready made hampers with ribbons and greeting cards, which makes them a nice local gift from Bogor.

One sweet snack I’d definitely try in Bogor is Koee Soes No. 1017. I liked the Original. the pastry is soft and light, filled with smooth milk custard that’s sweet without being too heavy.
The Chocolate one is a good pick too if you want something richer, with a creamy chocolate filling that melts nicely as you bite into it. If I can’t decide, I’d just get the Mix box and try both. They come in boxes of 6 or 10, which makes them easy t...
