All these places are local places I've visited with a baby and she loved it.

Outdoor Activities
Parks that I've been to that are mom approved.
Huge field and a large playground area. There's a rose garden and a large pond.
Heather Farm Park
There's a water play area for kids. It's relatively quiet and clam here.
The Grove - City of Clayton, CA
A really nice large field for picnics and kids to run and play!
Arbolado Park
It's not stroller friendly, but still not too hard of a hike with a baby on your back/in a carrier.
Mount Diablo State Park
It's near the Walnut Creek public library. It's a decent little park. It's also close by downtown as well.
Civic Park
Restaurants
Restaurants that you can take kids to that has either enough space or even a dedicated kids area.
They have a play area for kids. Every weekend we go it's full of families with kids and babies.
Headlands Brewing
There's an arcade for kids to play in and there's a Bocce court nearby which is not completely associated with the restaurant, but you get the balls from there.
Skipolini's - Clayton Pizza and Italian Food
Large enough restaurant to bring a stroller. I've seen other families eat here too. The food is healthy enough too.
True Food Kitchen Walnut Creek | Restaurant at Broadway Plaza
They are mainly outdoor, so the area is large. There's usually a food truck there.
Calicraft Brewing Company
Delicious food. There's also a Dave & Buster's nearby.
