Have you seen the viral clay magnet craft taking over TikTok? I gave it a try myself and put together easy-to-follow instructions—plus links to everything you’ll need—so you can make your own!

First, you'll need oven-bake clay! If you'd like more creative control, choose the plain white option—it gives you the freedom to paint it after baking.
1. White Oven Bake Clay

If you’d prefer to skip the painting step, you can opt for pre-dyed clay instead!
2. Colored Oven Bake Clay (Optional)

Make sure to grab a clay tools set! If you don’t have one, at least keep a toothpick handy. Trust me, creating detailed designs is much harder without the right tools!
3. Clay Tool Set

Pop your clay designs into the oven (the packaging will include the recommended temperature and baking time). Once they're baked and cooled, it’s time to paint!
4. Acrylic Paint Set

You'll need a paintbrush set so you have different brushes to choose from for your designs!
5. Paint Brushes

Once your paint is dry, it's time to add the Mod Podge. I prefer using the glossy kind—it gives a smooth, shiny finish!
6. Mod Podge Gloss Sealer

You'll need super glue to attach the magnet. Avoid using regular craft glue, as it might not be strong enough to hold the weight of the clay!

Finally, glue a magnet on the back of your clay masterpiece! I’ve linked the ones I used most, but you can also pick from different sizes from the same brand.
