Things to Do
These are the best activities and places to go in Tampa.
An easy-to-explore museum that includes paintings, sculptures, and antiquities. There are also a few outdoor balconies that offer great views of the Tampa Riverwalk.
Tampa Museum of Art
This riverwalk follows the Hillsborough River. Our favourite stretch was right by the Tampa Museum of Art.
Tampa Riverwalk
We highly recommend their standup paddleboarding lessons. A ton of fun to be out on the water!
Urban Kai Tampa
Not just a zoo, they have a great water log ride, and really awesome behind-the-scenes experiences. We highly recommend their Manatee Critical Care Center Behind-The-Scenes tour. They are one of two hospitals for manatees and this allows you to see all of the incredible work that they're doing.
ZooTampa at Lowry Park
If you're looking for the best spa experience in Tampa, this is it! Their massages are incredible and we loved their rooftop jacuzzi and lounge spaces. TIP: Their house-made granola that are included are AMAZING!

Where to Eat
Tampa low-key has some of the best restaurants. Every food spot we went to were surprising and impressive.
Southeast asian-inspired cuisine was really good and loved that they were just downstairs from our hotel.
Sunda New Asian
At the site of a trolley warehouse, this is an awesome food hall with a great selection of food.
Heights Public Market
A 5-star dining experience by Chef Ferrell Alvarez that blew us away. The service is impeccable and the food is so creative and delicious.
Ash
A fun hipster spot that is a combination of a bookstore, candle-making workshop, gift shop, cafe, tea-shop, and restaurant. It also makes a great co-working space!
Oxford Exchange
The oldest restaurant in Florida and the largest Spanish restaurant in the world. This is well-worth a visit if you're spending time in Ybor City. The Spanish/Cuban cuisine is superb.
Columbia Restaurant
A hole-in-the-wall spot that's a must for breakfast. Their cinnamon sourdonut is really amazing.
SuperNatural Food & Wine
This is a combination of an activity and dining experience. In their special river-cruise ship you'll be having a 3-course dinner as the ship glides through the scenic parts of Tampa as the sun sets. A fabulous way to enjoy Tampa Bay.
Craft Tampa
Located in Sparkman Wharf, this is for any ice cream lovers. We tried their Dubai Chocolate Sundae. They're also known for their Giant Cone Ice Cream but you need to reserve this ahead of time!
Hampton Chocolate Factory
It's totally a vibe here at this cocktail lounge. A great combination with Ash which is next door.
