Boulder Reservoir
This place has it all. Pools, exercise rooms, exercise classes, weight rooms, tennis and basketball courts.
North Boulder Recreation Center
This beautiful creation has plenty to see. It has plenty of waterfowl, including geede and heron. A bald eagle may drop by. Take a walk on the boardwalk and be sure to grab one of the cards to try to identify as many years birds as you can!
Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat
Lots of events throughout the year. Catch a rodeo. Alpaca show. County fair or farmer's market. Also walk along the trails to see Osprey. Blue heron. And other waterfowl.
Boulder County Fairgrounds
A unique location with a renowned entertainment hall. Vintage cabins and easy access to hiking along the Flatirons!
Chautauqua Park
This park, named for a former Colorado astronaut, has a playground with a climbing structure in the shape of a rocket. The biggest highlight is the pool area.
Scott Carpenter Park
It may be the home field for the Colorado Buffalos, but it also hosts the Bolder Boulder and concerts like Phish, Dead and Company, and others.
Folsom Field
The most unique. Premiere concert venue in the world. International performers love this place. They also host summer movies for families and yoga sessions.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
Beautiful location for photography or just to relax and enjoy the scenery provided by the runoff of the snow pack of the Rockie Mountains. Just a short hike to the north as you head up Boulder Canyon.
Boulder Falls
This is an urban park up Boulder Creek. It is a popular park for tubing or just hanging out while enjoying the surroundings.

Insider's Guide to Pearl Street
We like to go to see the Dodgers when they come to town. The Savanah Bananas are coming in August. Occasionally, they have concerts. Excellent food available thoughout.
