Sourdough Starter Necessities
Having a good and hardy jar is the first step! I get my Weck Jars off of amazon. They are fairly expensive but super worth it because they come with sealable hooks. Sourdough should always have a breathable lid, and with these jars you’re able to pla...

Any sort of Unbleached Flour is the first step to the recipe. I personally use bread flour because of the rise it gives my bread but all-purpose flour works as well.

Food Scale
Glass is the best way to go for making your bread as it allows hot and cold to travel through it better.
Large Glass Bowl
This is NOT a necessity but it’s an amazing product. Since I started using this my dough comes out much smoother and easier to work with. It’s very sturdy for if the dough is thick it still mixes.
Danish Dough Whisk
Banneton Bowls are AMAZING. Also not a necessity, so if you choose to make it without this you can flower a tea towel or dish towel and wrap your sourdough in it for an overnight proof.
Banneton Proofing Basket
I personally use a dutch oven and have never had a problem with it. You can also use a bread oven which i’ve heard works great. They sell dutch ovens at Walmart for pretty cheap!

I don’t use this everytime but I do use it with my inclusion loafs. Sourdough should be 200-210 degrees on the inside.
Cooking Thermometer
Sourdough can sometimes be tuff to cut so this helps give even slices.
